Happy Chinese New Year, to all Humanities 🐲. It's that time of the year again where we Celebrate the Chinese New Year🎊. Which means it's time for one of our favorite Chinese Delicacies, the sweet 𝐓𝐈𝐊𝐎𝐘 or also known as 𝐍𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐚𝐨 that is a sweet sticky rice cake 🤤.

Did you know the 𝐓𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐲 was introduced to the Philippines in the late 19th century🧓 by the Fujianese immigrants. That is derived from the Hokkien ti-ke (sweet pastry), it symbolizes prosperity, family unity, and higher income for the coming year. It was popularized in Manila's Chinatown in 1912 by Eng Bee Tin.

📃 On this day in 1986, the EDSA People Power Revolution began, marking the start of a historic peaceful uprising in the Philippines.
On this day, calls for nationwide protest and civil disobedience intensified after the controversial snap presidential election, where many Filipinos believed that fraud had taken place. Citizens, religious groups, and opposition leaders started mobilizing, urging people to defend the truth and protect their votes. These growing actions and public support became the foundation of the historic four-day peaceful uprising along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), which eventually led to the end of the Marcos regime and the restoration of democracy in the Philippines. Today, it is remembered as a powerful symbol of unity, faith, and people’s courage.

On February 4, the entire New Cabalan Senior High School community took part in an important safety activity—the Fire Drill.
𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒎 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒆𝒗𝒂𝒄𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, we witnessed the value of discipline, preparedness, and unity.

𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍. It reminded us that in times of emergency, knowledge and proper action save lives. Guided by our teachers and school officials, students showed responsibility, cooperation, and awareness.

Isinagawa noong Pebrero 4, 2026 ang 𝑴𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒆 𝑨𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 2026 ng Supreme Secondary Learner Government sa New Cabalan Senior High School sa temang “𝑷𝑨𝑺𝑰𝑲𝑳𝑨𝑩𝑨𝑵: 𝑳𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒌𝒔𝒂𝒏.”

Naglahad ng kanilang mga plataporma ang mga kandidato mula sa mga partidong W.I.S.D.O.M. at LAYA, kung saan tinalakay ang mahahalagang isyu at adhikaing nakatuon sa kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral. Sa isinagawang open forum, aktibong naipahayag ng kabataan ang kanilang mga pananaw patunay ng mulat, mapanuri, at responsableng pakikilahok sa demokratikong proseso. 📚💬
