Dr. David C. Bueno has been named Associate Editor of JPAIR Institutional Research Volume 24 (June 2025).

The appointment was formally granted by the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research, Inc. (PAIR).

Dr. Bueno’s role as Associate Editor affirms his academic distinction and leadership in institutional research and scholarly publication.

The journal is a peer-reviewed, online, indexed, and cross-referenced academic publication known for promoting scientific excellence and research integrity.

JPAIR Institutional Research is recognized globally and is indexed in reputable databases such as CrossRef, Google Scholar, ASCI, and the Harvard Library’s HOLLIS catalog.

The certificate was signed by Dr. Genaro V. Japos, President of PAIR, and was released at the PAIR Office in Cagayan de Oro City.

This milestone adds to Dr. Bueno’s growing contribution to research and higher education in the Philippines.

𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗫𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆

The 𝗣rofessional 𝗥esearch 𝗔ssembly for e𝗫cellence, 𝗜nnovation, and 𝗦cholarly Works (𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗫𝗜𝗦) was officially launched on April 26, 2025, at the Jubilee Conference Hall, serving as the culminating activity for the research courses in the Graduate School for Professional Advancement and Continuing Education (G-SPACE) at Columban College.

The event marked the culmination of students’ academic journey in Research Methods, Quantitative, Qualitative, and Statistics courses under the mentorship of Dr. Rey E. Enciso and Dr. John Den Saul L. Dalan.

The celebration featured the presentation of students’ research outputs through a Poster Presentation, aimed at boosting students’ confidence and promoting scholarly discourse.

Awards for Best Poster Design and Best Poster Presenter were given to outstanding participants whose works exemplified excellence in content and creativity.

Serving as the distinguished Keynote Speaker was Dr. Jan Adams D. Magtanong, Officer-in-Charge Assistant Principal of Sta. Lucia High School, Bataan, who delivered an inspiring address on the journey from theory to practical application in research.

The event was hosted by Mr. Alvin David Busa, an EdD student, and Ms. Bikki Mae Caballas, a MALT student, who served as the Masters of Ceremonies.

The program commenced with an Opening Prayer led by Mrs. Maria Cecilia Baldueza, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the Columban Hymn.

In his Opening Remarks, Dr. Enciso emphasized the transformative power of research in driving innovation and leadership.

Dr. David C. Bueno, Dean of G-SPACE and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services, delivered an Inspirational Message encouraging students to translate their research into impactful contributions to society.

Dr. Dalan formally introduced the keynote speaker, setting the stage for the address.

In his keynote, Dr. Magtanong urged students to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world application, challenging them to pursue excellence and relevance.

After the poster presentations and awarding, the event concluded with Closing Remarks from Dr. Dalan, who lauded the students’ dedication and the faculty’s commitment to academic excellence.

The successful birth of PRAXIS reinforces Columban College G-SPACE’s mission to foster innovation, scholarly leadership, and research excellence among its graduate students.
