Guided by our core values of Christian Character, Competence, and Service, our student-researchers soared in the international arena, rising from the Top 17 semifinalists, to the Top 11 finalists, and finally emerging as the 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐔𝐩 (𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟐 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥) in the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, held November 28, 2025 via Zoom Teleconference.

𝐂𝐂𝐀 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬

Faculty members of Columban College, Inc.-Asinan (CCA) participated in the “Research Diagnostics: Advanced Skills for Research Paneling, Advising, and Publishing” seminar held on September 2-4, 2025, at The Hotel Elizabeth, Baguio City.

The event was organized by the International Association of Multidisciplinary Research (IAMRI) to equip educators with advanced competencies in research advising, mentoring, and publishing.

Representing CCA were Ms. Marie Kris E. Chavez, Ms. Geraldine S. Paler, Dr. Adrian Lee S. Dela Cruz, and Dr. John Den Saul L. Dalan.

The seminar was spearheaded by IAMRI President Dr. Genaro Japos, who served as resource speaker and facilitator of the training.

The sessions focused on strengthening skills in handling research challenges, ensuring data quality, and preparing manuscripts for publication.

Dr. Dalan emphasized the importance of the training, stating, “This seminar will be a springboard for us to establish our own publication platform, possibly through a website of CCA, to disseminate the research outputs of our Senior High School (SHS) students.”

IAMRI underscored that the program was designed to build strong research culture by developing practical skills in research paneling, team guidance, and peer review response.

Participants also had the opportunity to collaborate and network with fellow educators and researchers from different institutions nationwide.

The participation of CCA faculty highlights the institution’s continuing commitment to research excellence and to empowering its SHS students through publication.

Their journey was not easy. Yet their persistence paid off, earning praise for a truly eye-opening study. More than the recognition, their achievement lies in discovering the power of their voices, the relevance of their questions, and the value of seeking difficult but necessary truths.
