𝐍𝐕𝐂 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 “𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐢𝐥”

The 𝐍𝐕𝐂 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞 proudly showcased the rich cultural heritage of Mindanao as it was invited to perform the iconic “𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐢𝐥” dance during the 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 on August 18, 2026. The invitation highlights the troupe’s growing recognition for excellence in cultural performance and its commitment to preserving and promoting the diverse traditions of the Filipino people through dance.

With grace, precision, and vibrant artistry, the NVC Amianan Folkloric Dance Troupe captivated the audience with its rendition of 𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒊𝒍, 𝒂 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒐 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒚. The performance served not only as an entertaining cultural presentation but also as a meaningful celebration of Mindanao’s heritage, reflecting NVCFI’s continuing commitment to cultural appreciation, student development, and community engagement. The troupe performed under the tutelage of its 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐄𝐥𝐣𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐨, and 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐨-𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨, whose guidance and dedication continue to nurture the talents of NVCian performers.

(𝐍𝐕𝐂𝐅𝐈), 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥, 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢 to extend a helping hand to families affected by the strong earthquake that struck the province. More than a donation drive, the initiative became a meaningful expression of compassion and solidarity as affected communities continue to recover, rebuild, and find the strength to stand once again.

Through the initiative of the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑. 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐝𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐒𝐖, 𝐌𝐒𝐒𝐖, the NVCFI community came together to gather, sort, and prepare essential relief items for distribution. Fueled by the generosity and collective efforts of NVCians, and with the 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌𝐎, the team successfully delivered much-needed support directly to families in the affected area. Every donated item represented not only material assistance but also a message that the NVC community stands with those facing difficult times.

This meaningful initiative also aligns with the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐒𝐃𝐆𝐬), 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟏: 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, by helping strengthen community resilience and support families affected by disaster. It also contributes to 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟑: 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 through the provision of essential assistance to affected households, while advancing 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟕: 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 through the collaborative efforts of NVCFI, its faculty, student organizations, and the NDRRMO. Through this collective action, NVCFI demonstrates that bayanihan, volunteerism, and social responsibility are vital in building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities.

The outreach reflects NVCFI’s enduring commitment to service that reaches far beyond the four walls of the campus. Through compassion, volunteerism, and collective action, the institution continues to embody the values of bayanihan and social responsibility—transforming concern into action and extending hope to communities in need. In moments of adversity, NVCFI proves that education is not only about building knowledge, but also about building people who are willing to serve, care, and make a difference.

The MOA signing was graced by key academic and healthcare leaders, led by Dr. Edwin Mudanza, MD, President of Kidapawan City Medical Specialist Center, Inc., and Dr. Chris Samuel S. Babol, MD, President of North Valley College. Also present were Dr. Mylyn April S. Babol, RN, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Nursing; Prof. Jarel Dave A. Alpanta, MPA, MSRT, PhD(c), School Administrator; and Leda P. Pacate, RN, MAN, Associate Dean of the College of Nursing. Their presence underscored the shared commitment of both institutions to building a stronger bridge between academic preparation and actual healthcare practice.

Through this partnership, North Valley College and Kidapawan City Medical Specialist Center, Inc. reaffirm their shared vision of developing competent, compassionate, and practice-ready future healthcare professionals. With KCMSCI serving as NVC’s base hospital, the collaboration is expected to provide nursing students with meaningful clinical learning opportunities while strengthening institutional cooperation in healthcare education and service. More than a formal agreement, the partnership represents a shared investment in the future of nursing education and in the delivery of quality healthcare to the community of Kidapawan City and beyond.
