𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗨𝗜 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝟱𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗛

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) continues to participate in international university rankings, with the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026 as its latest entry.

USM ranked 900th among 2,016 universities from 110 countries. It placed 525th in Asia and 50th among universities in the Philippines.

In Region XII, USM and Mindanao State University–General Santos City (MSU-GSC) were the only universities that participated in the 2026 rankings.

UI GreenMetric evaluates universities based on seven areas of sustainability: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, Education and Research, and Governance and Digitalization, the newest area added in the 2026 rankings.

The ranking looks at how universities put sustainability into practice through their facilities and operations, as well as in education, research, and community involvement.

According to the UI GreenMetric website, the Governance and Digitalization pillar was added to highlight the role of good governance, transparent leadership, and digital tools in managing university resources and supporting sustainability.

We are honored to welcome our Guest Speaker for the Colors of Healing, an art gallery exhibit in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, a dedicated advocate for mental wellness and a distinguished expert in the field of psychiatry – 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼-𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘇𝗮!

Currently serving as a Psychiatrist at DavPsych Wellness Center, Inc., a Center Psychiatrist at both the Davao City Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Drug Dependents and the Makilala Municipal Health Office, and a Visiting Psychiatrist at Digos Doctors' Hospital and Kidapawan Doctors' Hospital, Dr. Bello-Mendoza, who earned her Doctor of Medicine from Mindanao State University and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Southern Mindanao, will be sharing her invaluable insights on October 5 at the University Commercial Building, drawing from her extensive clinical experience in general psychiatry, as well as her active memberships in leading psychiatric associations.

We look forward to an inspiring and meaningful address from a physician who exemplifies compassionate care, clinical excellence, and a profound commitment to mental health advocacy.
