𝐑𝐒𝐔-𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Celebrating a year of academic triumph and perseverance, the Romblon State University (RSU) College of Education (CED) staged its annual CED Recognition Night yesterday, May 28, 2026, at the RSU Quadrangle.

Anchored on the theme “Rising Through Challenges: Recognizing Excellence in Education, Leadership and Service,” the event honored outstanding student achievers and faculty members who demonstrated exceptional commitment to educational excellence.

The program officially commenced with a Processional March and preliminaries, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Emelyn R. Villanueva, Dean of the College of Education. Dr. Emelyn F. Montoya, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also delivered a special message, where she highlighted the department's continuous pursuit of academic distinction amid changing educational landscapes. RSU University President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani further inspired the attendees with an uplifting inspirational message during the latter half of the program.

A primary highlight of the evening was the keynote speech delivered by CED Alumna and 2013 LET Top 6 placer, Ms. Alyza Mae A. Ferry, who was formally introduced by BEED Chairperson Dr. Jun P. Dalisay. In her address, Ferry reminded the future educators of the profound impact of passion and resilience in the teaching profession, as well as her journey towards her career.

The night saw the distribution of numerous awards split into two major segments, giving well-deserved spotlights to:

Service, Leadership, and Journalism Awardees

Recipients of the prestigious Gawad Pluma 2026

Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs) deployed in Batangas and Quezon City

Research, Loyalty, and Academic Excellence Awardees

Best Demonstration Teachers and Best Faculty member

Expressing deep appreciation on behalf of the student body, Aira M. Sarzona delivered a moving Message of Gratitude, which was warmly followed by a Tribute Song performed by the graduating students.

The memorable evening concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Charmaine Shane S. Cuñada, Associate Dean of the College of Education, and the singing of the RSU Hymn. The entire proceedings were smoothly moderated by Janelle T. Factor, who served as the Master of Ceremony.

As we look back through the years of dedication and growth, we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our future educators and leaders.

This year, we stand proud under the theme: “Rising Through Challenges: Recognizing Excellence in Education, Leadership and Service.”

SPORTIFY 2026: The 1st Romblon Community Sportsfest has officially come to a spectacular close! Over two action-packed days at the RSU Quadrangle, we witnessed firsthand what happens when youth, sports, and community truly connect.

Modeled after an incredible vision of leadership, volunteerism, and inclusion under Project POPOY, this landmark event brought together our amazing youth, women, seniors, and PWD athletes in a powerful display of unity and sportsmanship.

A massive THANK YOU to CHED, Romblon State University, the College of Education, our local leaders, the tireless youth volunteers, and every single delegate who left their heart on the court!

The tournament may be over, but the bonds built and the lessons in leadership have only just begun. Until the next Sportify!

𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

The College of Education faculty recently concluded its two-day intensive workshop, RESET 2026, focused on Faculty Loading, Operational Planning, and Strategic Alignment.

Held at the University Hostel, the event helped faculty members to reset minds, streamline operations, and enhance the college's development goals.

Some of the highlights and accomplishments of the event were the presentations and discussions of policies, drafts, and the finalization of manuals of the College of Education for approval by the university.

Faculty members were also renewed and refreshed through the Psychosocial Group Process Activity led by Dr. Jacquelyn Rose Fajilagutan.

It is truly a well-spent final stretch for the College of Education (CED) faculty to conclude the second semester of academic year 2025-2026.

The RSU-College of Education Family is bursting with pride as we celebrate a monumental achievement of 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱𝘆 𝗙. 𝗙𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗹, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, Bachelor of Secondary Education—Major in Science, and the TOP 5 of the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers with a remarkable rating of 𝟗𝟒.𝟐𝟎%!

Your dedication, hard work, and excellence have truly paid off. You have set a shining example for all future educators, and we can't wait to see the impact you will make in the world of science education!

The final bridge between years of study and professional licensure is currently underway.

This crucial assessment serves as a final simulation for seniors to gauge their readiness and identify key areas for improvement before the upcoming Board Exams.
