The ceremony brought together 46 new members of the RSU workforce โ€” 40 from the non-teaching ranks and six from the faculty โ€” who took their oath of office and received orientation on university policies, benefits, and institutional values.

The orientation segment, led by the Human Resource Management Office, covered the Universityโ€™s Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Quality Policy, presented by Dr. Tomas T. The oath of office was administered by Hon. Eleandro Jesus F. Madrona, Representative of the Lone District of Romblon, who also delivered an inspirational message to the new employees.

โ€œI have always believed the education is the best investment,โ€ said Cong. Madrona, highlighting his gratitude to RSU for producing quality graduates capable of working in government offices of Romblon.

Joining the celebration were several local chief executives, including Hon. Riza Pamorada of Alcantara, Hon. Atty. Lisette Arboleda of Looc, and Hon. Roger Fodra of Odiongan, underscoring the strong partnership between the University and the communities it serves.

In her message, University President Prof. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, Ed.D., CESE, welcomed the new personnel into what she described as their new home.

โ€œOut of thousands of applications, you were chosen,โ€ the President told the gathering. โ€œYou passed through a rigorous and demanding process. You are here because this University believed you were worth choosing.โ€

She urged the new employees to take care of their name and the name of the University by serving with diligence even when unobserved, treating students, colleagues, and the public with patience and dignity, and guarding the trust placed in their hands as their own familyโ€™s good name.

โ€œDo ordinary things extraordinarily,โ€ President Mani said as an advice to the newly hired personnel.

President Mani also extended her gratitude to Cong. Madrona for his continuous support to the various activities and programs of the University.
