This Teachers’ Month, Romblon State University celebrates its alumni educators whose dedication and commitment continue to inspire learners and contribute to the growth of the university and its communities.

Meet 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶, an RSU alumnus whose educational journey began at Santa Maria National High School (formerly RCFF Sta. Maria), where he completed high school in 1991. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Ateneo de Zamboanga University in 1995 and later completed his 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 from 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.

With a total of 𝟭𝟳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 of teaching experience, Mr. Glori has taught in diverse educational settings, including Ateneo de Manila Grade School, international schools in Indonesia, DepEd–Sta. Maria National High School, and Romblon State University. He currently serves as Assistant Professor II and RSU Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Unit Head at Romblon State University, Liwanag, Odiongan, Romblon.

💙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪

For Mr. Glori, one of the most rewarding aspects of being an educator is seeing students grow in knowledge, confidence, and character and knowing that he has contributed to their journey toward achieving their dreams.

After years of teaching, he finds fulfillment not only in sharing his knowledge but also in witnessing his former students succeed and make meaningful contributions to their communities. For him, these moments are among the most rewarding reminders of the impact an educator can make.

🌱 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘

His message to aspiring educators and future RSU teachers is simple but meaningful: teach with passion, patience, and purpose.

He encourages future educators to recognize that every student has a unique potential waiting to be nurtured. He reminds them to keep learning, lead by example, and continuously strive to create a positive and lasting impact—not only on their students, but also on the university and its stakeholders.

For Mr. Glori, teaching is more than sharing knowledge. It is an opportunity to nurture potential, inspire dreams, and help shape individuals who will eventually contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Thank you, Mr. Rommel Hernandez Glori, for 17 years of dedicated service and for bringing your experience from different educational settings into your work as an RSU educator. Your journey reflects how teaching can cross borders and institutions while remaining rooted in one purpose—to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners. 🍎💙💛

To all RSU alumni educators, thank you for continuing to serve, inspire, and shape lives through education. Your influence extends far beyond the classroom and becomes part of the stories and successes of the students you have guided. 💙💛

This milestone was made possible through the support and participation of the whole RSU community—our administrators, faculty, staff, students, and partners who continue to take part in the University’s sustainability efforts.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this achievement. May this encourage us to keep improving our campus practices, support more environmental initiatives, and make sustainability part of what we do every day.

There is still more work ahead, and we look forward to moving forward together toward a greener and more sustainable RSU.
