The Science and Technology Scholars' Organization (SATSO) held its much-awaited ISKOnek 2026: Annual Assembly at SATO Beach Resort, Batiano, Odiongan, Romblon — bringing together DOST scholars for a day of meaningful discussions, shared experiences, and strengthened bonds within the organization.

More than just a gathering, ISKOnek was a celebration of unity, a reminder that behind every pursuit of knowledge and every dream of making a difference, stands a community of scholars who uplift and inspire one another. 🎓🌊

With every piece of waste collected and every step taken along the shore, we move closer to a cleaner, healthier environment for our community and future generations.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀' 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗦𝗢), together with 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 (𝗛𝘂-𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗘), proudly assisted 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 – 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻 in bringing 𝗞𝗮𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗴 𝘀𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝟯.𝟬 to life, a multi-event celebration of the total lunar eclipse that transformed the night sky into a classroom on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟯.

Through storytelling about the legend of Bakunawa and science talks on phases of the moon, eclipses, circadian rhythms, and moon-influenced behaviors of birds and plants, selected elementary learners and PSHS students did more than witness the Blood Moon. They explored, questioned, and discovered it. 🔭✨

With telescopes gathering light and young minds gathering knowledge, the event proved that learning shines brightest when myth meets science, shadows meet light, and curiosity meets wonder.

The final day of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 successfully concluded on February 22, 2026, as another batch of aspiring scholars gave their best and took one step closer to their dreams. The Science and Technology Scholars’ Organization remained present and ready to serve, offering encouragement through stickers, candies, and warm smiles to brighten the atmosphere. And yes, our meaningful tradition continues—“𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂.” ✏️ Every donated pencil carries hope and will soon turn into opportunities through our future outreach initiatives.

DOST UGE HIGHLIGHTS: DAY 1, DONE! ✨

The first day of the 2026 DOST Undergraduate Examination successfully took place today, February 21, 2026, bringing together aspiring scholars ready to take a step closer to their dreams. The Science and Technology Scholars’ Organization proudly assisted throughout the event, sharing encouragement through stickers and candies for our examinees. And of course, our tradition continues—“One Lapis, One DOST for You.” Every donated pencil will soon become tomorrow’s opportunities in our outreach programs. ✏️

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀’ 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗦𝗢), in collaboration with 𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻 and 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 (𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦), have successfully wrapped up its annual 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 last 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, with the 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝟳𝟰 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 from different schools in Romblon. The sessions were packed with focus, curiosity, and countless “Aha!” moments. Beyond reviewing concepts, it became a space where the on-going and graduate guided the participants in sharing knowledge, strategies, and encouragement which proves that learning is best when it’s shared. 🧠✨

This National Anti-Hazing Prevention Week (February 9–13, 2026), let us commit to fostering organizations where every member feels safe, valued, and empowered.

💡 𝐁𝐄 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄. Understand that hazing, whether physical, emotional, or psychological— causes lasting harm. Awareness is the first step toward prevention.

📢 𝐁𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄. Speak up against harmful practices. Silence protects abuse, but courage protects people.

Please be informed that the 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 scheduled for tomorrow, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, will be 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗗 due to inclement weather condition.

To compensate for this postponement, the review session will be conducted on February 17, 2026. We know many of you were already preparing and looking forward to this session. However, after careful consideration, we believe that postponing is the best decision to ensure everyone’s 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
