Ramyagan Student Film Festival

Nais ng Ramyagan Student Film Festival Organizing Committee na maglabas ng opisyal na pahayag kaugnay ng mga impormasyong kasalukuyang kumakalat patungkol sa event at sa paggamit ng budget nito.

Nakakalungkot na may mga maling impormasyon at akusasyong ipinapakalat nang hindi muna direktang lumalapit sa organizers upang malinawan ang usapin. Ang ganitong paraan ay nagdudulot lamang ng hindi kinakailangang kalituhan at hindi pagkakaunawaan sa loob ng student body. Mahalaga ring ipaalala na ang mga meetings ay isinagawa upang maipaliwanag nang maayos ang mga plano, allocations, at mga napagkasunduan para sa festival.

Para sa transparency, nais naming linawin na mayroon pong kumpletong financial report na may kasamang detailed breakdown ng expenses at official receipts. Ang mga ito ay naipadala na sa mga block representatives, at bukas din ang organizers sa pagbibigay ng personal copy sa sinumang may lehitimong concern o nais malinawan.

Kaugnay naman ng sinasabing “14k” issue, nais naming itama na ang kabuuang na-generate lamang ay humigit-kumulang 10k+, dahil marami pa ring estudyante at ilang blocks ang hindi pa nakakabayad ng kanilang contributions hanggang sa kasalukuyan. Sa kabila nito, nagpatuloy ang organizers sa pagfa-facilitate ng event at naglaan pa ng sariling pera upang matugunan ang ibang gastusin na kinakailangan para sa maayos na daloy ng programa.

Nais din naming ipunto na ang Ramyagan Student Film Festival ay naisakatuparan gamit lamang ang ₱100 contribution kada estudyante, kumpara sa mas mataas na contributions noong mga nakaraang taon. Sa limitadong budget na ito, matagumpay pa ring naisagawa ang event sa pamamagitan ng maayos na pagpaplano, pagtutulungan, at dedikasyon ng organizing committee.

Tungkol naman sa concerns ukol sa snacks at prizes, malinaw pong napagkasunduan sa meetings na plaques ang magiging awards para sa festival. Ang budget ay maayos at transparent na inilaan para sa award plaques, hall decorations, at judges’ tokens base sa napagkasunduan ng student body. Samantala, ang concerns kaugnay ng snacks ng bawat block ay dapat idulog sa kani-kanilang block representatives o block president, dahil wala pong napag-usapan o nakalaang budget para rito bilang bahagi ng official event allocation.

Higit sa lahat, hindi namin hahayaan na masira ang reputasyon at layunin ng Ramyagan Student Film Festival dahil sa misinformation at walang basehang akusasyon. Ang festival na ito ay binuo upang ipagdiwang ang creativity, collaboration, at talento ng mga estudyante, at sa likod nito ay mga taong naglaan ng oras, pagod, at sariling resources upang maging matagumpay ang event.

Umaasa kami na sa halip na magpalaganap ng haka-haka at paninira, ay piliin ng bawat isa na dumaan sa tamang proseso ng pagtatanong at pakikipag-ugnayan para sa malinaw at maayos na usapan.

Ang pahayag na ito ay inilalabas para sa transparency at upang maiwasan ang patuloy na pagkalat ng maling impormasyon.
