From uncertainty to empowerment, the journey of TESDA scholar Neil Severino B. Yap, Jr. stands as a testament to resilience, vision, and the transformative power of skills development.

A returning OFW during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Neil faced the challenges of starting anew. With determination, he invested in a farm school accredited by the Department of Agriculture, laying the groundwork for his future. Through TESDA, his path took a remarkable turn—equipping him with the competencies and confidence to thrive.

Today, he proudly leads Lanuton Agricultural Farm and Resort, the first TESDA-registered school in the Municipality of San Andres, offering various qualifications that empower not only the local community but the entire Province of Romblon. His initiative has become a beacon of opportunity, cultivating skills, livelihoods, and hope.

Neil is a living embodiment of the TESDA EGACE-E Milestone—from Enrolled to Graduate, Assessed, Certified, and ultimately, Employed—and now, an Employer who gives back to his community.

As emphasized by TESDA Romblon Provincial Director, Atty. Glenn Niño M. Sartillo, every scholar is challenged to rise, grow, and succeed—and Neil’s story proves that this vision is not only possible, but achievable.

Sa TESDA, ang tagumpay ay hindi lamang pangarap—ito ay kayang abutin, dahil sa TESDA basta’t sama-sama, kayang-kaya!

In celebration of Earth Month this April 22, 2026, the Provincial Training Center Romblon proudly conducted a tree planting activity, reinforcing our shared commitment to environmental sustainability.

A total of 20 Narra seedlings were planted in a strategic area beside the PTC Romblon building—symbolizing growth, resilience, and our responsibility to protect nature for future generations.

The activity was led by Acting Administrator Joseph R. Coching and TESDA Romblon Provincial Director Atty. Glenn Niño M. Sartillo, with the active participation of TESDA scholars under the PV Systems and Installation NC II qualification, along with PTC Romblon and TESDA PO Romblon employees.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to PENRO Romblon for providing the Narra seedlings and supporting the success of this meaningful initiative.

Together, let’s continue to nurture the environment and build a greener, more sustainable future.
