𝗞𝗔𝗛𝗨-𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗬𝗔𝗡 2025 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗪𝗨𝗥𝗜) 2026

Through the initiative of the KaHU-SciEyan 2025 Director, Writer, and Champion Dr. Andrew Famero, the research-based activity snatched a place at the Top 100 of the WURI 2026 under the category of Curricular Innovation for Future Readiness (C3), landing at the 53rd spot. The activity showcased the research projects of freshmen students from the College of Education. Various innovative products that reflect creativity and scientific effort were presented before panels and audience. Alongside the research-based product presentation were the test of mind through general science quiz bee and a battle of colors through poster-making contest. These were all squeezed in a full, efficient day last 28th of November, 2025.

The activity was a product of the course requirement for Science, Technology, and Society (STS). Collaborative efforts from faculties and science organization made the success of the event evident. With this, we would like to thank the following forces for their grace and dedication for the KaHU-SciEyan 2025: Dr. Andrew Famero, KaHU-SciEyan 2025 Director; Honorary Union of Science Enthusiasts (HU-SciE), led by its President, James Alde F. Falcatan; Ma'am Jewelle Olarte-Visca, Adviser of (HU-SciE); Ma'am Kyra Elysse De Castro, Former Assistant Adviser of HU-SciE and STS Faculty; Sir Bryan Fruelda, Current Assistant Adviser of HU-SciE and STS Faculty; Ma'am Ruth Mary Fallesgon, Science Department Faculty; Panel of Judges; and of course, the students.

The activity would not have been a subject in the global stage without the support of the following important people in the university: Sir Alvin Dalisay, Prof. Dr. Sherwin M. Perlas, and Prof. Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani. We are in immense pride and joy to represent Romblon State University in advancing curricular innovation. May this achievement be a reminder that everything we do is for the glory of learning, community, and continuous innovation.

𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 2026 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘅

Students of the science department from Romblon State University, College of Education, shined in the Likhamon 2026 Promax: The Pitching and Student Research Congress.

Fourth year students took the 2nd place in Student Research Congress under Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education. Their research study titled "Effectiveness of Biorender in Learning Cell Division Among Grade 7 Students" clinched the silver medal through the collaborative efforts of Heshelle B. Flordeliz, Fhel John G. Manzana, Ella Kezeiah T. Amar, and Eunice U. Urbano.

Meanwhile, the team of 3rd year students Angel G. Francisco, Aileen Mae A. Gadaoni, Diane M. Mangat, and Francheska Eliz O. Marcelo recorded a bronze-worthy research significance under the same category. The study of Francisco et al. titled "CliMade Board Game: Enhancing Grade 9 Students' Understanding of Global Climate Phenomena" etched a name in the research congress.

Creativity, research contribution, and aesthetic appeal made the team of Mark Kenn Angelo F. Mazo, Rosell Jarah Vi D. Capillo, Jahnia T. Herrera, and Maria Lady Azenith C. Alfonso, grab the Best Poster award under the category of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education. Their research study "Design, Development, and Evaluation of LaBox Express: A Portable Laboratory-in-a-Box for Biology Experiment" engraved the winning masterpiece in their artwork.

Congratulations, science minds. Let's make another batch of huge waves next year! Keep striving for science education.

Last 24th and 25th of March, the Kacedyahan 2026 took place in the College of Education. The event highlighted the craft and culture of the future educators. Kacedyahan 2026 gave the education students across different majors to showcase their creativity and efficiency through sports, academic competitions, and various student-centered activities.

Meanwhile, the Honorary Union of Science Enthusiasts confidently joined different organizational competition like booth design and variety show. The organization also administered the general knowledge and SDG quiz bee. During the fun run, HU-SciE served as the facilitator for the station behind the Laboratory Science High School Building.

Led by the hardworking and creative officers and staff, HU-SciE obtained the 2nd Best Booth Design and 2nd Best Performing Sub-organization during the Kacedyahan 2026.

The Honorary Union of Science Enthusiasts is in gratitude of the people behind the success of the Kacedyahan 2026. This event is a good platform to boost student engagement and support different talents in the College of Education.
