The Avila Music Family stems from a long line of music educators and professional musicians teaching their love for music from generation to generation. This in turn has inspired us to continue and share the knowledge we learned from our mentors. Through specialized training programs, we help industry professionals and music performers become music educators. Our teachers are trained to be hands-o

n, dedicated, and committed in guiding their students to learn and acquire the skills they need to become independent learners. We provide 1 on 1 music lessons through zoom classes with researched-based learning materials that are simplified based on systematic formats that are progressive, modern, and fun.

Praise their efforts instead of just having them seek for validation

Parents, stop praising talent đź‘€

It can actually do more harm than good.

When kids are labeled “talented” early on, it becomes their identity. “You’re so talented.” “It’s easy for you.” Over time, their value is tied to that label.

Then fear appears. If they lose to someone who isn’t seen as talented, what does it mean? Maybe they’re not talented after all. So they protect the label. They stop fighting, give up early, and say, “I didn’t even try.”

Because if they didn’t try, they didn’t really lose.

Talent without work is fragile. Effort builds confidence. Work builds identity.
