The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) in partnership with the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) conducted the Municipal Level Quiz Bee on November 12, 2025. Meanwhile, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), in collaboration with FGCO, held the Provincial Level Quiz Bee on November 17, 2025. Both events were part of the Children’s Month celebration with the theme "OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!" 🎉👧🧒

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN THE PROVINCE OF GUIMARAS

The Provincial Government of Guimaras hereby announces the suspension of classes at all levels, both public and private, from November 3-5, 2025, due to Tropical Storm Tino.

According to the latest PAGASA weather bulletin, the tropical storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall and potential flooding in several areas of the province. In view of this, the suspension of classes is implemented to ensure the safety and welfare of students, teachers, and school personnel.

This directive is issued under the authority of Acting Governor Felipe Hilan Nava. An Executive Order formalizing this suspension will follow.

The public is advised to remain alert and to continuously monitor official updates from PAGASA, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and the Provincial Government of Guimaras.
