Aklan State University informs all personnel across all campuses of the guidelines for Monday, September 28, 2026, pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 09-0772, s. 2026 and in line with Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026.

Morning Schedule (On-Site Reporting):
All personnel, including faculty members, are required to report on-site during the morning session.

Academic Continuity (For Faculty Members):
Faculty members are advised to prepare and implement appropriate asynchronous learning activities for the morning to ensure instructional continuity and support the completion of student academic requirements.

Work & Class Suspension:
Work and classes across all ASU campuses will be suspended starting at 1:00 PM, allowing employees and students to observe "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga" Day with their families. (Security personnel on duty will maintain regular operations).

The ASU-New Washington Campus officially welcomed another meaningful academic year through PAGPAHITUON 2026: A Campus General Orientation, facilitated by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS).

The activity served as an avenue for students to become acquainted with the college officials, faculty, and staff who will be part of their academic journey and campus experience.

The celebration also marked the kick-off of the CSC Month Celebration and the Launching of the Center for Human Rights, with the presence of Atty. Jonnie L. Dabuco, Regional Director of the Commission on Human Rights VI. His presence underscored the importance of cultivating a campus community that respects dignity, promotes equality, and stands firmly for human rights.

Adding another meaningful dimension to the program was the orientation on the ASU Alumni Career Nexus Program, presented by Dr. Wella Gem Samonte, opening opportunities for students to build connections and prepare for their future careers beyond the classroom.

The campus community was likewise honored by the message of Atty. Shimonette P. Francisco, Municipal Mayor, represented by Engr. Kristian V. Peralta, affirming the continued support and partnership between the local government and the university.

From meeting the people behind the campus community, discovering opportunities beyond graduation, celebrating student leadership, to strengthening our commitment to human rights—PAGPAHITUON 2026 reminds us that education goes beyond the classroom. It is about people, purpose, service, and community.
