Those who are given privileges are the ones who seem unable to see the problem. Being silent and blind is a crime for someone with more capacity to understand, but even the Aeta are better.
They are given every advantage—education, resources, power, and voice—yet they choose to close their eyes, cover their ears, and look away. Comfort breeds indifference; privilege builds walls around conscience. They have every tool to understand, every means to act, yet they remain willfully ignorant, conveniently silent, and deliberately blind.
They carry less, yet they hold more humanity. They own nothing but their dignity, yet they understand justice far better than those who own everything. When we strip away status, wealth, and influence—the only thing that truly matters is character. And in this, the Aeta stand tall—far above those who think they are above accountability.
Privilege was never meant to be a shield from truth. It was meant to be a tool to lift others up—not to trample them down. If having more makes you care less, then you have gained nothing at all.
