𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦: 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘, 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦
The participation of the Student Affairs and Services Unit (SASU) in the One-Day Seminar Forum entitled “RESPONSIVE MINDS: Creating Safe, Inclusive, and Responsive Campuses – Reorientation on the Safe Spaces Act and Psychological First Aid for Higher Education Institutions” provided an opportunity to strengthen knowledge, skills, and practices in promoting safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environments.
The forum highlighted key matters concerning the Safe Spaces Act, case reporting and referral mechanisms, relevant legal frameworks for student disciplinary cases, Psychological First Aid, and Basic Guidance Counseling, providing valuable insights in effectively responding to student concerns and supporting their overall well-being.
Representing the Student Affairs and Services Unit were Christin Jade Gadogdog, Student Affairs and Services Unit Head; Rolando Bayo Jr., Student Discipline Coordinator; Jonik A. Hitio, Student Council and Organization Section Coordinator; Stephane G. Delos Reyes, Guidance and Counseling Section Coordinator; and Vivilyn V. Porlares, Appraisal and Testing Section Coordinator.
Through continuous capacity-building and professional development, the SASU remains committed to strengthening its programs and services and fostering a campus environment where every student feels safe, supported, heard, and empowered to thrive.
