The 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 conducted a vital 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 for the teaching personnel of 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐍𝐁𝐍𝐇𝐒).

Through this meaningful orientation, our teachers gained essential knowledge on 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬 during critical situations. Because when it comes to safety, 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Zone 1, New Bataan National High School (NBNHS) seized a golden moment after overpowering Camanlangan National High School (CNHS) of Zone 3, 76–60, to claim the title in the Under 17 BIDA Cup Basketball Championship at the New Bataan Municipal Gym on August 10, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 21st Sal’lupongan Festival.

NBNHS wasted no time establishing its dominance from the opening quarter, displaying aggressive offense and disciplined man-to-man defense.

“Gi-pressure nako sila nga modula lang sa ilang hilig kay kini nga dula kay ilang gi-represent ang school. Akong gi-encourage nga dili pakaulawan ang eskwelahan,” said NBNHS coach Sir Jay Antibo, emphasizing the importance of playing confidently while proudly representing their school.

Zone 1 maintained its momentum until the final stretch of the game, with the matchup turning into a heated battle in the last quarter. Despite CNHS’s attempts to fight back, NBNHS remained composed and refused to surrender its advantage.

Earlier in the first quarter, Zone 1 gained an early advantage after Ali sparked several steals that disrupted Zone 3’s offense, allowing NBNHS to take a 20–13 lead.

The NBNHS team continued to put its foot on the gas in the second quarter, extending its advantage by capitalizing on gaps in CNHS’s defensive coordination, particularly during the final three minutes of the period.

As the clock ticked toward the final minute of the second quarter, CNHS attempted to narrow the gap, drawing an intense reaction from the crowd. However, Zone 1’s smooth ball movement and solid teamwork thwarted Zone 3’s comeback attempt, sending NBNHS into halftime with a 39–27 lead.

NBNHS’s Benjamen further dismantled CNHS’s defense in the third quarter by knocking down crucial three-pointers while the opposition struggled to establish its rhythm. His offensive surge helped NBNHS widen the gap to 60–38.

NBNHS carried its commanding lead into the final quarter, sustaining its defensive pressure and offensive intensity until the final buzzer. The team eventually secured a decisive 76–60 victory, earning the Under 17 BIDA Cup championship title.

The victory marked another significant achievement for the NBNHS basketball team and further fueled its championship aspirations for the season.

With the title secured, the NBNHS basketball team will continue training and preparing to defend its championship in the upcoming DDOPAA 2026 competition.
