The School Seal
The seal of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parochial School is made up of two circles with the outer circle enclosing the inner circle. The upper half of the outer circle bears the words San Lorenzo Ruiz Parochial School, and the lower half, the institution’s foundation year 1983. The inner circle encloses an escutcheon and a banner with the virtues of St. Lorenzo Ruiz below it.
The crest of the escutcheon carries the Latin word, Veritas, which means the Truth. It represents the search for all knowledge, especially of the Truth who is Jesus Christ.
The shield of the escutcheon bears a dove, which symbolizes the Holy Spirit who guide the Church in all aspects, and the image of St. Lorenzo Ruiz as the patron saint of SLRPS.
The banner encloses three virtues: Courage, Fidelity, Patience. These virtues were shown by St. Lorenzo Ruiz throughout his journey. All who pass through the portals of SLRPS are expected to have strong sense of courage in the service of God and neighbors, to remain faithful to what is right and true, and patience to overcome in all odds in the search for Truth.
The predominant color of the seal is green (battle). It stresses the school’s goal for growth. Excellence growth in academic pursuit and other endeavors. Moreover, the growth of the soul as St. Lorenzo Ruiz did.
