📣The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has raised concerns over Volcanic Smog (VOG) being emitted by the Taal Volcano which has spread all over Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
Breathing in VOG can irritate the eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. People with respiratory issues such as asthma, the elderly, and pregnant women, are especially at risk. Due to this, we would like to remind you to take the following precautions for your health and safety:
●Limit your exposure. Reduce outdoor time and keep all windows and balcony doors closed.
● Medical help should be sought immediately if experiencing worsening cough or breathing difficulties.
Phivolcs is closely monitoring the volcanic activity and will inform the public of any changes. For the latest advisories regarding this, you may visit the PHIVOLCS website through this link: https://www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph/
⛑️Stay safe everyone! N95 facemask muna when outdoors.
