Makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng mga Katutubo ngayong Oktubre!

Ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon ay kaisa ng buong bansa sa pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng mga Katutubo sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation 1906 s. 2009 na layong gunitain ang pagsasabatas ng Republic Act 8371 o ang The Indigenous Peoples Rights Act noong Oktubre 29, 1997.

May temang, “Kasaysayan, Karunungan, at Wika ng mga Katutubong Pamayanan: Mga Saligan ng Katutubong Pagkakakilanlan at Tulay Tungo sa Inklusibong Kaunlaran,” nais bigyang-diin ng Kagawaran ang patuloy na pakikiisa at suporta sa mga Katutubong Pamayanan sa pamamagitan ng Indigenous Peoples Education Program na nasa ikalawang dekada na ngayong 2022.

Proclamation No. 1521, series of 2008, declared the month of June 2008 as the National Information and Communications Technology Month. As we recognize the vital role of ICT in nation-building, we also call for more actions to break the gender digital divide.

With the theme, “Spark, Strengthen, Sustain: Advancing the PH Digital Agenda”, the Department of Information and Communications Technology encourages everyone to:
SPARK your interest and start conversations that would benefit the national digital transformation agenda;
STRENGTHEN your support for efforts and reforms in key areas of ICT governance; and
SUSTAIN your will for better Philippine ICT and ensure that you, the next generations of ICT vanguards, have the proper and knowledge and capacity to follow through on the advance of the Philippine Digital Agenda.

Three years since the passage of the Safe Spaces Act (SSA), the PCW calls on all agencies and private stakeholders to strengthen the law's implementation.
