♻️ From Waste to Something Useful!

Despite the suspension of classes due to the continuous Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), our learners continued to learn and be creative at home. 🌧️💚

As part of the SELG Recycling Project, they created pen holders using recyclable and discarded materials found at home. ✏️♻️ This simple activity encouraged them to be creative while developing the values of resourcefulness, responsibility, and care for the environment.

This activity reminds us that learning continues even at home. With creativity and determination, even discarded materials can be transformed into something useful and beautiful! 🌱✨

Ngayong Agosto 21, nakikiisa ang mga SELG Officers ng Mataas na Pulo Elementary School sa paggunita ng Ninoy Aquino Day sa pamamagitan ng panonood ng isang video tungkol sa buhay, sakripisyo, at kabayanihan ni Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

Sa simpleng gawaing ito, naipapaalala sa ating mga mag-aaral ang kahalagahan ng pagmamahal sa bayan, katapangan, pagkakaisa, at paglilingkod sa kapwa. 🇵🇭❤️

Bilang pakikiisa sa Buwan ng Wika, ang mga SELG Officers ay namahagi ng mga halimbawa ng malalalim na salitang Filipino at ang kanilang mga kahulugan upang higit na mapalawak ang talasalitaan at mapahalagahan ang kagandahan ng ating sariling wika. ❤️

(Promoting Informed Nutrition for Growing Genreration and Nurturing Good Health)

This project is a student - lead health and nutrition initiative of SELG that aims to promote healthy eating habits among learners through the Pinggang Pinoy food guide. As part of the project, SELG officers distribute informative pamphlets that explain the importance of eating a balanced meal with the right portions of vegetables,fruit,rice and protein.
To strengthen learning, the project includes the Pinggang Pinoy challenge,where learners are encouraged to apply the concepts by preparing balanced meal with the help of their parents. This hands - on activity that is held during breaktime helps learners develop healthy eating habits while inspiring their classmates and families to make nutritiuos food choices..

Project MABINI (Mobilizing Awareness By Inspiring Nationalism and Information)

The SELG Officers distribute informative flyers featuring the life, achievements, and values of Apolinario Mabini at the school entrance. MPES teachers also give short time to discuss information about the said hero. Learners participate in a short question-and-answer activity conducted by the SELG officers in the classroom. Those who answer correctly may receive simple incentives. This interactive approach promotes reading comprehension, historical awareness, and active participation while making learning enjoyable.

Project Z.E.R.O. – Zero Waste Education and Responsible Outreach

The SELG Officers, together with the YES-O Officers, distributed Zero Waste awareness flyers to students and parents at the school entrance. Through this simple initiative, we aim to inspire everyone to practice proper waste management, reduce plastic use, and help keep our school and community clean and green.
