The DCBES-MNHS Senior Red Cross Youth Council diligently carried out its responsibilities during the English Camp 2025, themed “Reading: A Gateway to Discovery.” Throughout the event, our volunteers prioritized the safety and organization of the camp, providing immediate assistance to participants as needed. Many students received appropriate support and care, demonstrating the team’s commitment and readiness during the two-day event.

Through the guidance of DCBES-MNHS-SRCYC Adviser, Manilyn Sicot, the council successfully upheld discipline, responsiveness, and teamwork, embodying the true spirit of Red Cross volunteerism.

Dedicated to service and compassion, the DCBES-MNHS- SRCYC continues to support school programs while exemplifying the values of preparedness, empathy, and leadership.

In Celebration of the National Reading Month 2025, the DCBES SRCYC joined the English department of DCBESMNHS for its outreach program (Book Donation Drive) last November 20 ,2025 at Lucky Kids Child Development Center, Balaytigue, Nasugbu, Batangas.

This impactful initiative of the department aimed to promote early literacy support for young learners and provide educational resources that ignite imagination and curiosity.

We would like to thank our DCBESMNHS English Family for allowing us to participate in this unforgettable community outreach program. Until next time. 😊

MAGING HANDA SA PAPARATING NA BAGYO!

Nasugbu, sa paparating na bagyo, siguraduhin nating handa ang ating pamilya at tahanan!

Isa sa pinakamahalagang hakbang ay ang paghahanda ng inyong “Go Bag” o Emergency Kit — para kung kailangan lumikas, ready ka na!

ANO ANG DAPAT NASA GO BAG:
• Tubig at Pagkain – at least 3-day supply ng canned goods, biscuits, at bottled water.
• First Aid Kit – may gamot, bandages, alcohol, at iba pang basic medical needs.
• Important Documents – IDs, birth certificates, insurance papers, etc. (ilagay sa waterproof envelope).
• Flashlight + Extra Batteries – laging kailangan kapag may brownout.
• Powerbank / Fully Charged Phone – para sa komunikasyon.
Whistle – magagamit sa emergency para marinig agad ng rescuers.
• Damit at Kumot – magdala ng extra clothes at blanket sa waterproof bag.
• Hygiene Kit – sabon, toothpaste, toothbrush, sanitary pads, tissue, at face masks.
• Cash – baka walang ATM o signal sa lugar.
• Small Transistor Radio – para updated sa weather reports kahit walang kuryente.

Reminders:
• I-secure ang bahay, tanggalin ang mga bagay na pwedeng liparin ng hangin.
• I-charge lahat ng devices habang may kuryente pa.
• Makinig sa mga official announcements ng PAGASA at MRRMO Official Page.

Safety in Action: DCBES-MNHS Participates in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

On November 6, 2025, the DCBES-MNHS School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM), alongside the DCBES-MNHS SRCY Council, SSLG Officers, and Senior Scouts, actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

As the alarm sounded, students and teachers executed the Duck, Cover, and Hold procedure with composure and safely evacuated to their designated areas. This activity aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness, awareness, and discipline among the school community.

With the DCBES-MNHS SDRRM, and the support of the DCBES-MNHS SRCY Council, SSLG, and Senior Scouts, the drill successfully demonstrated teamwork, responsibility, and readiness in promoting safety within the school.

Together as one, the DCBES-MNHS community remains alert, disciplined, and prepared.
