On June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 AM, Tala Senior High School actively participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote a culture of safety among learners, teachers, and school personnel.

The activity was spearheaded by Mrs. Bernadette I. Capoquian, Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) Coordinator, with the full cooperation of the school community. Participants practiced the proper "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and orderly evacuation protocols during the simulation.

To further enhance emergency response readiness, various disaster scenarios were conducted, including a student with an injured ankle requiring assistance, a student trapped inside the comfort room, and a blocked passage incident involving a student. These simulations provided valuable opportunities for responders and participants to apply appropriate rescue and emergency response procedures.

Through this activity, Tala Senior High School reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety, preparedness, and resilience of its school community in times of emergencies and disasters.
