The College of Teacher Education (CTE) dance troupe earned 1st Place in the Hip Hop Dance Contest during Hiusa 2026, the Interdepartmental Acquaintance Party of the College Department, held on July 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nasipit Municipal Gym.

The competition brought together talented student performers from different college departments, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and stage excellence. Through an energetic, synchronized, and captivating performance, the CTE dancers impressed the judges and audience, securing the first-place distinction.

Beyond preparing future educators, the achievement highlights that education students are individuals with diverse talents and abilities. While they are training to become competent and inspiring teachers, they also excel in fields beyond the classroom, including the performing arts. Their success in the competition reflects the creativity, discipline, teamwork, and passion that characterize future educators.

The accomplishment brings pride and honor to the College of Teacher Education and serves as an inspiration to fellow Michaelinians to pursue excellence both academically and in their extracurricular endeavors.

Today, our college students begin their Preliminary Examinations. As a Catholic academic community, we commend them to the loving care of God and invoke the guidance of the Holy Spirit upon each one of them.

May the Holy Spirit, the source of wisdom and understanding, enlighten their minds, strengthen their memories, calm their anxieties, and grant them the grace to face every examination with confidence, honesty, and perseverance.

May these examinations not only measure what they have learned but also inspire them to continue growing in knowledge, wisdom, and virtue, always seeking the truth in the light of Christ.

As one Michaelinian family, let us keep our students in our prayers, asking the Lord to bless their efforts and reward their diligence.
