United in Purpose ✨

The Northwestern Agusan Colleges Student Development Center (SDC) empowered its Peer Facilitators Organization (PFO) Yesterday, August 15, 2026, 8:00 AM - 4:00PM through a dynamic Annual Training & Team Building at the NAC Quadrangle.

Guided by Guidance Counselor Mr. John Jacob Balaba and Guidance Advocate Ms. Kimberly L. Mercado, with the support of fellow Guidance Advocates Ms. Ladymae Senares & Mr. Chris Vincent C. Pedrosa, together with lead facilitators Mr. Roldan M. Mangin & Ms. Maria Mervea F. Tolero, and PFO alumni facilitators Ms. Hazel Jones Allen, Ms. Heart Casanova, & Ms. Rachelle Recella.

The activities strengthened teamwork, trust, communication, and shared leadership under the theme “United in Purpose: Fostering Trust, Teamwork, and Shared Leadership in Peer Facilitation.”

In the afternoon, the energy continued with a conflict resolution workshop led by Ms. Maria Mervea F. Tolero, highlighting importance of facilitation skills and effective leadership.

After that the newly elected PFO officers proudly took their oath of office led by Ms. Kimberly Mercado, followed by the awarding of certificates to guest speakers, facilitators, and members. The program closed with heartfelt appreciation from Mr. Chris Vincent C. Pedrosa.

Truly, the NAC Peer Facilitators Organization is shaping a culture of collaboration, leadership, and purpose. United to serve and inspire their peers! 🤝

✨ Peer Facilitators Organization Annual Training 2026 ✨

August 14, 2026
8am - 4pm
@ NAC Simulation Room

This year’s annual training was all about building skills in listening, empathy, communication, and leadership — so we can better support our peers, lead together, and make our school a warmer, more welcoming place for everyone. 💛

The program opened with inspiring remarks from our Guidance Counselor, Mr. John Jacob Balaba, setting the tone for a day of growth and learning. Our first speaker, Mr. Roldan M. Mangin, guided us in understanding the roles, goals, and key qualities of a Peer Facilitator.

After his session, we enjoyed a lunch break that gave everyone time to recharge and connect. The training then resumed with a lively icebreaker activity, followed by the heartfelt input of Ms. Maria Mervea F. Tolero, LPT, who reminded us with, "Accompany to Inspire: Leading with Heart, Serving with Purpose.”

Finally, the program concluded with the encouraging words of our College Guidance Advocate, Ms. Kimberly L. Mercado, RPm, leaving us inspired and ready to serve.
