The afternoon program of the SHS Day served as the formal culmination of the day’s celebration—bringing together recognition, reflection, and shared appreciation.

Each part of the program reflected the dedication and collective effort of the Senior High School community. The atmosphere was indeed filled with pride, gratitude, and a sense of unity.

Laughter, energy, and a hint of nostalgia filled the Tringulo grounds during Dula sa Kagahapon, one of the most lively parts of the Senior High School Day: Seniors’ Solstice.

Unlike the earlier events, this event brought back classic Filipino games that many grew up playing. Clusters competed in activities such as the Patintero, Maria Went to Town, and Sack Race, which brought out both competitiveness and pure enjoyment among participants.

Dula sa Kagahapon showed that even in the middle of competitions, there is always room for joy and laughter that makes the day meaningful.

The Academic Contests formally commenced at 1:00 PM as part of the Senior High School Day: Seniors’ Solstice, bringing together selected representatives from each cluster to compete in a series of knowledge-based challenges designed to test intellect, accuracy, and critical thinking. 🧠

A structured sequence of four categories was held during the contest: General Knowledge Quiz, Historical Quiz, Statistics Challenge, and the SMCC History Quiz. Each contest was composed of three rounds—Easy, Moderate, and Difficult—consisting of a total of 30 questions per category.

Throughout the competitions, participants wrote their answers on official answer boards and were given a specific time limit for each question, only presenting their responses upon the signal. The occurrence served not only as a competition, but as a celebration of learning and the shared pursuit of excellence within Michaelinians. 🌟

The Banner Dropping Contest was a powerful expression of identity, pride, and unity within each cluster. As each banner was revealed, it carried not only colors and designs, but also the efforts and creativity of the students working behind it.

In that moment, as each banner fell into place, we were reminded that this celebration was not only about winning but also about showing who we are as one community. 💕
