Today, August 17, 2026, the Executive Student Government – College Department (ESG-CD), in collaboration with the Health Services, Guidance Office, and National Service Training Program (NSTP), successfully conducted the 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 for the First-Year College Students of Saint Michael College of Caraga.

With the theme, “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲,” the symposium provided our First-Year Michaelinians with valuable knowledge and awareness on the importance of making healthy, responsible, and informed choices.

The Executive Student Government – College Department, in collaboration with the Health Services, Guidance Office, and National Service Training Program (NSTP), is organizing a Drug Education and Awareness Symposium for all First-Year College Students of Saint Michael College of Caraga (SMCC).

Theme: “Empowering Students to Build a Drug-Free, Healthy, and Responsible Michaelinian Community”

In consideration of the rising heat index and its potential effects on the health, safety, and well-being of our students, faculty, and personnel, classes at all levels will shift to synchronous or asynchronous learning modalities tomorrow, August 14, 2026.

Students are advised to regularly check the Learning Management System (LMS) and official communication channels for specific instructions, learning activities, and announcements from their respective instructors.

We encourage everyone to remain hydrated, take necessary precautions, and prioritize health and safety amid the prevailing weather conditions.

Buong-pusong nakikiisa ang Executive Student Government – College Department sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026 na may temang: “WIKANG FILIPINO AT AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman at Impormasyon”

Sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng makabagong teknolohiya, mahalagang mapanatili ang pagpapahalaga sa Wikang Filipino bilang daluyan ng kaalaman, pananaliksik, at impormasyon. Kasabay ng pag-usbong ng Artificial Intelligence (AI), gamitin natin ang teknolohiya nang responsable at makabuluhan upang higit na mapalawak ang ating kaalaman habang pinayayaman at pinahahalagahan ang sariling wika.

Bilang mga mag-aaral, maging bahagi tayo ng isang henerasyong mapanuri, makabago, at makabayan—ginagamit ang teknolohiya bilang kasangkapan, ngunit hindi kinakalimutan ang wikang nagsisilbing bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan. 🇵🇭✨

Guided by this year's theme, "𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬," the event gave Michaelinians from different departments the opportunity to meet, interact, and build friendships while strengthening unity across the campus.
