𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐒 𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐊𝐎

On October 20, 2025, the Northwesthern Agusan Colleges Emergency Response Team (NERT) successfully assisted the Grand Opening Parade of the NAC Intramurals, marking the official launch of INDIGAY DOS MEL BAYNTE SINGKO.

In the days that followed, NERT members were strategically assigned by the team president to monitor every game, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants and spectators.

We extend our gratitude to the NERT alumni who visited and volunteered for duty during the event—Ms. Esther Faith Dumanon, Mr. Lourhenz Maturan, and Mr. Arniel Rasonabe—as well as the former president, Mr. Mark Gonzales, for his unwavering support and backup.

This year’s intramurals brought more than just celebration—it offered valuable experience for our current NERT leaders. It became a platform to apply, test, and recall our emergency response knowledge in real-time scenarios.

Northwestern Agusan Colleges Responds Swiftly to Magnitude 7.5 Earthquake

Nasipit, Agusan del Norte — October 10, 2025
A powerful magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck northeast of Davao Oriental earlier today, Friday, October 10, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). The tremor was strongly felt across various parts of Mindanao, including the local area of Nasipit.

In immediate response to the seismic event, Northwestern Agusan Colleges (NAC) activated its emergency protocols. Students and faculty from both the Junior and Senior High School departments executed a swift and orderly evacuation to the designated open area. The community’s calm and disciplined response reflected NAC’s ongoing commitment to disaster preparedness and safety.
As a precautionary measure, classes are temporarily suspended until further notice.
The administration urges everyone to stay tuned to official channels for updates regarding the resumption of academic activities.

In observance of Fire Prevention Month, the Nasipit BFP conducted a fire safety orientation at the Simulation Room and a fire drill at the NAC Quadrangle on March 4, 2025. The NERT also performed a demonstration, showcasing emergency response procedures.

𝗔 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝗿𝗮! ⛑️

On August 9, 2024, the Nacian Emergency Response Team conducted their orientation and election for the academic year 2024-2025.

The event began with Mr. Darius Saagundo, NAC's safety officer, who discussed the importance of being aware and prepared for unforeseen disasters. He highlighted the four thematic areas of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management: Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Response, and Disaster Rehabilitation and Recovery.

This was followed by the NERT and YOUNG ADNERT orientation, presented by Ms. Esther Faith Dumanon, and the election of officers for AY 2024-2025.

To conclude the orientation, the current members and recruits gathered outside for a group photograph and dismissal, led by the newly elected NERT President, Mr. Mark John Gonzales.

The Nacian Emergency Response Team orientation ended successfully. We extend our gratitude to NAC's Safety Officer, Mr. Darius Saagundo; our School Nurse, Mrs. Mirasol Rasonabe; NERT Advisers, Mr. Mark Joseph Quidet, Ms. Ma. Grace Francisco, and Ma'am Daisy Joy Casanova; as well as the High School Principal, Ms. Jovie Ann Gomez, for their unwavering support and assistance.

On April 18, 2024, fellow YOUNG-ADNERT of Nasipit joined the School-based DRRM-CCA Youth Forum held at Nasipit National Vocational School in Agusan del Norte for a Youth Forum. The speakers discussed weather patterns and mental health, providing valuable insights to attendees. After the informative sessions, organizers arranged team-building activities and a boodle fight to promote unity among the participants.

The attendees were from various educational institutions, including Northwestern Agusan Colleges, NNVS, Nasipit NHS – NACES Campus, Culit NHS, Hinandayan NHS, and Nasipit NHS – Main Campus.

On March 27, the Nasipit MDRRMO, alongside the school's Safety Officer, Darius Saagundo, and School Nurse, Mirasol Rasonabe, conducted fogging operations at Northwestern Agusan Colleges in response to a reported case of dengue, prioritizing the well-being of our students and staff.
