Four-Day Campus Renewal, Capability Building, and Strategic Recalibration Program

Progress does not always begin with grand declarations. Sometimes, it starts with clearing a pathway, reviewing an outdated practice, strengthening a syllabus, aligning institutional targets, and bringing people together toward one direction.
This spirit defined the four-day Campus Renewal, Capability Building, and Strategic Recalibration Program conducted at ISPSC Narvacan Campus from July 6 to 9, 2026. More than a series of activities, the program became a collective effort to prepare the campusāphysically, academically, and institutionallyāfor the challenges of a new academic year.
The first two days began with Brigada Eskwela, where faculty members, personnel, and other members of the campus community worked side by side to clean, organize, and improve the learning environment. Every classroom restored and every shared space renewed reflected a simple but powerful truth: a better educational experience begins with a campus that is safe, welcoming, and ready for its learners.
On the third day, the focus shifted from physical renewal to academic strengthening through the Re-Echo Training on Outcome-Based Syllabus Development, Assessment, and Curriculum Harmonization. Led by Dr. Geremy G. Sanchez and his team from the Office of the Director for Instruction, the training guided faculty members in designing outcomes-based syllabi and developing appropriate assessment tools for major course outcomes. The workshop and critiquing of outputs allowed participants to translate OBE principles into clearer, measurable, and learner-centered classroom practices.
The four-day undertaking culminated in the Campus-Based Recalibration Program on July 9. Discussions covered updates on the national research and development agenda, institutional guidelines for research and extension, academic targets, accreditation and ISO matters, work ethics, and human resource concerns. These sessions provided the campus community with a clearer understanding of institutional priorities and strengthened the alignment of individual responsibilities with the broader direction of ISPSC.
The program was more than a cleanup drive, a training session, or a cascade of targets. It was a necessary pause to examine where the campus stands, identify what must improve, and renew the commitment of its people.
Under the leadership of ISPSC President Dr. Mario P. Obrero and Narvacan Campus Director Atty. Jose Q. Cabatu, the campus moves forward with renewed purpose. Its facilities have been refreshed, its academic practices strengthened, and its institutional direction clarified.
Narvacan Campus now returning to the frontlineārecalibrated in its systems, redirected toward shared priorities, and better prepared to deliver the quality education and public service its stakeholders deserve.
