Preparedness in Action: Camarao ES Conducts NSED 2026
Camarao Elementary School successfully conducted the First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) with the active participation of all learners and school personnel. The activity was carried out under the leadership and support of Mrs. Merlyn C. Cabigas, School Head, highlighting the school’s strong commitment to disaster preparedness and safety.
The activity was made even more meaningful through the presence and assistance of the personnel of the Narvacan Municipal Police Station (MPS) under the supervision of PLT Reynald N. Ramos, Officer-in-Charge, who facilitated both the Earthquake Drill and an Anti-Bullying Lecture.
During the lecture, learners were reminded of the harmful effects of bullying and were encouraged to practice respect, empathy, and kindness in their daily interactions. Meanwhile, the earthquake drill reinforced the importance of proper evacuation procedures and safety measures during emergencies.
Through this collaborative effort, the drill served not only as a practice of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol but also as a significant reminder that preparedness, unity, and shared responsibility are vital in protecting lives and building a safer, disaster-resilient community. Furthermore, the activity strengthened the school’s commitment to promoting awareness and preparedness among learners during emergencies.
