𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟭𝟭 | 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

FISHCOMP Session 11 was successfully conducted via an online platform, bringing together CvSU alumni and BSFAS 4 students as they continue their preparation for the Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination (FPLE) 2026.

The session featured 𝗠𝗿. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗕. 𝗟𝗮𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻, a 2025 FPLE passer and alumnus of CvSU Naic, who shared his experience and practical tips on how to prepare for and pass the board examination. He also guided the participants on how to approach and analyze examination questions and properly justify their answers, providing valuable insights based on his own board examination experience.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗹 of the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Department delivered a lecture on Aquatic Animal Health Management, discussing important concepts and management practices relevant to the FPLE and the fisheries profession.

Also joining the session was 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗖. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼, who served as facilitator and mentor of FISHCOMP 2026, providing guidance and support to the participants throughout the review session.

Through the valuable insights and experiences shared by the speakers, the guidance of the FISHCOMP mentor, and the active participation of CvSU alumni and BSFAS 4 students, FISHCOMP Session 11 further strengthened the participants’ knowledge, confidence, and readiness as they continue their preparation for the FPLE 2026 and their journey toward becoming Registered Fisheries Professionals.

𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟭𝟬 | 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

FISHCOMP Session 10 was successfully conducted in a hybrid mode, bringing together CvSU alumni and BSFAS 4 students through both face-to-face and Zoom participation as they continue their preparation for the Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination (FPLE) 2026.

The morning session featured Prof. Leah C. Lacson, Associate Professor from the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Department, who discussed the Principles and Concept of Productivity and Fish Biology and Marine Ecology.

For the afternoon session, Mr. Rollieson D. Perlado, Instructor from the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Department, discussed Issues in the Aquatic Ecosystems, providing participants with a deeper understanding of important concerns affecting aquatic environments and fisheries resources.

Through the expertise of the faculty mentors and the active participation of CvSU alumni and BSFAS 4 students, FISHCOMP Session 10 further strengthened the participants’ knowledge and readiness as they continue their preparation for the FPLE 2026 and their journey toward becoming Registered Fisheries Professionals.

𝐎𝐉𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃! 🎓🌊

The Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Department (FASD) of Cavite State University–Naic proudly congratulates its BSFAS 3rd Year students on the successful completion of their 200-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT)!

Through this experience, the students gained valuable hands-on skills, practical knowledge, and professional experience in real-world fisheries and aquatic sciences settings.

FASD extends its sincere appreciation to its partner institutions—Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources–National Fisheries Development Center (BFAR-NFDC), National Fisheries Research and Development Institute–Freshwater Fisheries Research and Development Center (NFRDI-FFRDC), and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources–National Freshwater Technology Center (BFAR-NFTC)—for providing meaningful training opportunities and helping shape future fisheries professionals.

The department also recognizes the valuable guidance and support of its OJT Coordinator, Mr. Rollieson D. Perlado, whose efforts contributed to the successful implementation of the students’ OJT.

200 hours completed, countless lessons gained, and one step closer to becoming fisheries professionals. Congratulations to the BSFAS OJT interns! The experience ends, but the learning continues. 💙
