Chrysippus of Soli, a 3rd-century BC Greek Stoic philosopher, allegedly died from excessive laughter after watching a donkey eat his fermented figs and then offering it wine to wash them down.

The last notable modern case involved Ole Bentzen, who reportedly died after laughing uncontrollably while watching A Fish Called Wanda. It was estimated that his heart rate rose to an extreme level of 250-500 bpm during the incident.

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?🤔

𝑩𝒊𝒙𝒂 𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒂 or commonly known as 𝑨𝒕𝒔𝒖𝒆𝒕𝒆 is used as a natural food coloring because of its vibrant red-orange pigment called 𝑏𝑖𝑥𝑖𝑛.

In the Philippines, its seeds are often turned into oil to give dishes their 𝑟𝑖𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒-𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑟.

Fun Fact: Due to its vivid pigment, atsuete is also known as the “𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆.”

On June 11, 2026, the SCIRES Club successfully conducted its 𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡 𝐺𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑙 𝐴𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑙𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑆𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝑌𝑒𝑎𝑟 2026–2027. The assembly served as an opportunity to present the club's objectives, planned activities, responsibilities, and initiatives for the year. It also provided a platform for members to exchange ideas and collaborate towards building a stronger and more active SCIRES Club community.

As we begin another school year together, we look forward to building meaningful connections, developing leadership and teamwork, and creating memorable experiences through our various activities and programs.

May this year be filled with active participation, cooperation, and opportunities for every member to grow and contribute to the success of the club.

Today marks the official opening of the new school year, bringing a renewed sense of purpose and shared ambition back to our institution. Our documentary was present at the school gymnasium to witness and capture the student body as they gathered for the first time orderly assembled by grade levels and sections. 👥🏫

Mula sa disiplina ng bawat baitang hanggang sa gabay ng ating mga g**o at tagapayo, ang bawat kuha ay patunay ng kahandaan ng ating pamayanan na harapin ang bagong yugto ng karunungan. Ang bawat hanay ay sumisimbolo sa ating pagkakaisa sa kabila ng magkakaibang direksyon at pangarap. 🗺️🤝

Akala mo ba forever na lang tayong hihiga habang nagpapatugtog sa dilim? Akala mo ba makatatakas ka sa bagsik ng kalkulasyon at bagsik ng mga deadlines? HINDI! Panahon na para i-cross out ang pagiging sawi sa pag-ibig dahil ang tunay na kalaban natin ay ang mga equations, reportings, activites, quizzes and exam na naghihintay sa atin! 😖🧪

Tumingin ka sa salamin. Tularan mo 'yang postura mo para sa flag ceremony bukas—kunwari handa, kunwari matatag, kunwari alam ang gagawin kahit sa loob-loob mo ay nagdarasal ka na lang na sana hindi ka tawagin sa recitation. Pero bilang mga miyembro at tagasubaybay ng SciRes, alam nating walang uurong! Gagawin nating lakas ang bawat puyat at gagawin nating petrolyo ang kape at dasal sa poong may kapal para sunugin ang darating na academic year! 🔥✍️

Medyo MAHIRAP DIBAAA!! WALANG MAHIRAP LABAN LANGGGG!! 🤯🤩 Ihanda na ang inyong mga scientific calculator, papel, ballpen, at notebook talasan ang mga lapis, at i-activate ang inyong pinaka-matinding "𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘔𝘦" mindset. Handa man o hindi, we will catalyze greatness. Magkita-kita tayo bukas, mga ka-SciRes! Walang iiyak (sa harap ng teacher)! 🎒👀

And on the last day of Brigada Eskwela 2026, one thing is clear—our school is better because of everyone’s collective action.

Throughout the 5 days of the Brigada, we have witnessed how any task becomes easier when there is unity and collaboration. From cleaning classrooms and organizing learning spaces to revitalizing our Science Garden and laboratories, every effort has contributed to creating a safer, cleaner, and more learner-friendly environment for all Naguilianites. 💚💛

We are deeply grateful to all the teachers, parents, students, club officers, and volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to make Brigada Eskwela 2026 a success. Your efforts are deeply appreciated. 🤝✨

And now that our five-day “outing” is officially coming to an end, we are not only left with a clean school. We also left a mark of unity, service, and love in our school—things that cannot be measured by time and cannot be completed with Brigada Eskwela.
