**ALEX EALA SENDS EMOTIONAL MESSAGE TO FILIPINO FANS AFTER STUNNING NAOMI OSAKA TO REACH FIRST WTA 500 FINAL**

Alex Eala has just created the biggest moment of her young career.

The 21-year-old Filipina stunned former world No. 1 and four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, to reach her first-ever WTA 500 final at the Mubadala DC Open.

But after the final point, it was not just the scoreline that mattered.

It was the crowd.

Filipino fans had packed the stands, lifted their flags, and gave Eala the kind of energy that made Washington feel thousands of miles closer to home.

Then Alex looked back at them with gratitude.
