"You don't have to struggle in silence. You ca be un-silent, as long as you open to somebody about it."

In line with the celebration of World Mental Health Awareness Month, the School of Saint Joseph invites a Registered Psychometrician to have an online talk with Grades 10, 11, and 12 students on Friday at 9:00 am.

This scheduled webinar can be an opportunity for the students to understand the importance of prioritizing mental health, along with the plight of mental sufferers, and finding possible solutions in taking care of their mental health.

Tips to help someone through a mental health crisis and having suicidal thoughts. Overall, please do a lot of listening and validating of the personโ€™s feelings. These are extra important in showing your compassion for their situation. Also, after the crisis is over, please, please stay in contact with them and follow up on how they are doing.

If you are someone who is struggling right now, please know that itโ€™s ok to reach out and talk to someone! Please donโ€™t give up! Your life really does matter. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ

VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT JOSEPHIANS!

January 30, 2021 - We were deeply saddened to inform you, as of this writing, 4 of our students informed us that they were tested positive for COVID-19 and now undergoing quarantine in their respective municipal quarantine facilities. We will reiterate to our students, parents, and other stakeholders, as much as possible, to strictly observe MINIMUM HEALTH STANDARDS even at the comfort of home-based learning being implemented by the school.

We would like to assure our stakeholders that NONE of these students visited the premises of the school during the past 14 days and even during the entire month of January. None of our teachers and staff had also been in direct contact with them during the indicated period. The School has also been strictly observing minimum health protocols ever since the beginning of its operation on August 24, 2020 (e.g. mandatory wearing of protective gear, mandatory temperature check, acrylic barrier for module transactions, physical distancing, etc.). Thus, it is highly unlikely that the infection was caught by the students at the School premises.

However, as a pro-active and preventive measure, we would like to announce that our School Director has decided IMPLEMENT A 14-DAY MANDATORY QUARANTINE PERIOD for all the faculty and staff of SSJ. This is to ease off any chance of infection through the medium of transactions possibly exposed to the students (i.e. activity sheets, payments, and exams) within this month. THEREFORE, NO TRANSACTIONS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WILL BE HELD IN THE SCHOOL FOR THE NEXT 14 DAYS (January 31 - February 13, 2021)

In line with this announcement, the following upcoming activities are hereby POSTPONED until further notice:
* Distribution of Modules and Retrieval of Activities on February 3, 2021
* 2nd PTA Meeting and Distribution of Cards on February 13, 2021

We continually ask the utmost cooperation of all our students, parents, and stakeholders to observe DISCIPLINE AT ALL TIMES when doing transactions and other activities outside of residence. The PANDEMIC is NOT YET OVER. It only takes ONE SECOND of NEGLECT for the virus to infect us and our families. Let us not forget to fervently pray to our Father for the swift recovery of our students and for our own safety, through the mediation of Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, and her most chaste spouse, our patron, Saint Joseph.
