Philippine Independence Day, also known as "Araw ng Kalayaan" in Filipino, is an annual national holiday in the Philippines observed on June 12th. It commemorates the country's declaration of independence from Spanish colonial rule on June 12, 1898.

It is celebrated annually to honor this significant event in Philippine history. It serves as a reminder of the Filipinos' struggle for freedom, self-determination, and the formation of our sovereign nation

Through this year's theme "𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣, 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣, 𝙆𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣", Independence Day in the Philippines is a momentous occasion that highlights our country's rich history, instills a sense of national pride, promotes unity, and encourages citizens to strive for the continued progress and development of the nation.

Today we celebrate motherhood. A commemoration of sacrifice, hard work, and the unconditional love of a mother. Our existence is partially due to them, so give them the tightest hug and warmest kiss because they deserve it.

We commemorate the most valiant Filipinos who battled for our nation's liberation on this precise day, which marks 81 years after the fall of Bataan during World War II. Every Filipino was reminded of the need of unity and solidarity in the nation-building through their stories of bravery and dedication.

Dahil dito, kaisa ang Nagcarlan Federation of Supreme Student Government sa paggunita ng Araw ng Kagitingan, ang araw ng mga matatapang na Pilipino.

Isang pagsaludo para sa ating mga beteranong nagpalaya sa bansa sa kamay ng mga mananakop!

Tunay nga na ang diwa ng pagmamahal sa bayan ay paiinitin, sapagkat ang kwento ng sakripisyo ng bawat bayaning ito ay patuloy na isasalin hanggang sa susunod pang mga henerasyon!

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 | 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲

Resurrection Sunday, commonly known as Easter Sunday, is a Christian feast honoring Jesus Christ's ascension from the dead. There are no references to early church celebrations of Easter in the Bible, nor does the word "Easter" itself. It seems that Easter, like Christmas, emerged later in the development of the church.

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 | 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲

Black Saturday marks the day when Jesus Christ was laid in the tomb after His death. In the Old Testament book of Leviticus, the Lord commands the observance of a Sabbath not only every seventh day, but also every seventh year, and in the Sabbath year, they should not plant or grow crops, but rather "let the land rest." From these words, Saturday and the Spanish word Sabado are derived.

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:7)

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 | 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲

On Good Friday, we recall the day when Jesus willingly endured suffering and death by crucifixion as the final atonement for our sins and to make possible the gift of eternal life.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:16-17)

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 | 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲

On Maundy Thursday, which is a shortened version of the Latin word mandatum, which means "command," we remember Christ's "mandate," which He gave to His disciples on the Thursday of His final week before He was crucified and resurrected. After eating the meal that came to be known as the Last Supper with his followers, Jesus washed their feet and said:

"If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." (John 13:14)
