๐๐๐๐ | Cebu Technological UniversityโNaga Extension Campus (CTUโNaga) welcomed a delegation of Japanese local government officials, academic leaders, media representatives, and industry partners for a guided campus tour yesterday, July 22, 2026.
Organized by the City Government of Naga under the leadership of Mayor Hon. Valdemar M. Chiong, the visit aimed to strengthen international educational collaboration, foster cultural exchange, and expand global learning and career opportunities for students and educators.
The delegation comprised representatives from Nakama City, Kamiamakusa City, Mashiki Town, Sojo University, Kumamoto Television, and JP-HOLDINGS, INC. The group included city mayors, education superintendents and directors, university officials, media executives, corporate leaders, translators, and business development representativesโreflecting a shared commitment to advancing education and international cooperation.
OIC-Campus Director Atty. Marvey A. Ocampo warmly received the guests and led the campus tour, showcasing CTUโNaga's academic programs, facilities, and student-centered learning environment. The visit also served as a continuation of the exploratory discussions initiated in February 2026, reinforcing both parties' commitment to building future academic partnerships and exchange opportunities.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this initiative advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) through international educational exchange, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by opening pathways for global career opportunities, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration between local and international institutions.
