The presence of Don Bosco in the heart of Bicol has been known as the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. For the past y

ears, unknown to the majority is the existence of the Don Bosco Training Center established in 1999 specifically to cater for the unprivileged youth of the community, also known as the out-of- school youth of the community.

Industry-Based Training for FBS Trainees at Primus Hotel and Resort

FBS trainees of Don Bosco Naga participated in an Industry-Based Training at Primus Hotel and Resort from August 17 to 19, 2026, designed to strengthen their practical skills and provide them with meaningful exposure to actual hospitality industry operations.

On August 17, a seminar on the Process of Taking Orders and Utilizing the Point-of-Sale (POS) System was conducted by Mr. Kevin Dave Osabal, FBS Supervisor.

After the seminar, the trainees proceeded with hands-on training, where they practiced actual order-taking, order processing, and POS operations. The hands-on training will continue until August 19 to accommodate all FBS trainees.

Don Bosco Nagaextends its sincere gratitude to the management of Primus Hotel and Resort and the Biana Family for generously opening their doors and allowing the trainees of DB Naga to undergo this valuable industry-based training. DB Naga Trainees Complete Comprehensive and Basic Life Support Training

Don Bosco Naga had its annual Comprehensive and Basic Life Support Training on July 30–31, 2026, for its B28 trainees and newly hired Lay Mission Partners.

The training, facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in first aid and basic firefighting techniques. The activity aimed to strengthen their preparedness and ability to respond effectively during emergencies.

On the second day, the Don Bosco Naga community participated in a Fire and Earthquake Drill to put their emergency preparedness skills into practice.

The activity reflects the Don Bosco spirit of being prepared, responsible, and ready to serve others, fostering a community that cares for one another and puts into action the values of faith, service, and loving kindness for all.

Don Bosco Naga, LGU Naga Strengthen Collaboration for Youth Development

Don Bosco Naga met with Mayor Leni Robredo and
Mr. Delfin Aguilar, Scholarship Coordinator of the LGU Naga on July 20,2026 to further strengthen the partnership in providing scholarship grants to TVET trainees who are residents of Naga City.

The meeting concluded on a positive note as LGU Naga committed to increasing its scholarship assistance for Don Bosco Naga's TVET trainees. At present, there are 99 enrolled trainees who are residents of Naga City.

The meeting also became an opportunity to discuss with Councilor Gayle Abonal the growing concern for youth mental health. Recognizing the importance of promoting mental wellness, LGU Naga is currently designing a Mental Health Program for trainees and training for staff to enable them to provide mental health first aid to trainees.

Representing Don Bosco Naga during the meeting were Fr. Caesar Dizon, SDB, Rector; Fr. Ramil Maranan, SDB, Technical Director; and Ms. Joan-Jet Cetro, External Relations Officer.

The strengthened collaboration between Don Bosco Naga and LGU Naga reflects their shared commitment to making quality technical education more accessible while promoting the holistic development and well-being of the youth in the community.

Don Bosco Naga Strengthens Spiritual Formation Through Recollection and KOA Investiture

As part of the pastoral formation program, Don Bosco Naga conducted a series of recollection activities for its trainees on July 14,16,and 17, 2026 , centered on the themes of Recollection and the Sacrament of Penance. The recollection sessions were facilitated by Fr. Caesar Dizon, SDB-Rector and Fr. David Buenaventura,SDB—Catechist, while Fr.Paul Ines,SDB also admistered confessions with Fr. Dixie and Fr. Dave.This pastoral activity provided the trainees with an opportunity to deepen their faith through prayer, reflection, and reconciliation.

The Knights of the Altar (KOA) Investiture was also held during the Wednesday Masses on July 8 and July 15. The investiture rites took place to formally welcome the new altar servers as they committed themselves to faithfully serving the Church through their ministry at the altar.

Through these pastoral activities, Don Bosco Naga continues to foster the spiritual growth of its Bosconians, helping them become persons of faith, service, and integrity.

Don Bosco Naga Celebrates Mass of the Holy Spirit with Blessings for Lay Mission Partners, Trainees, and Classrooms

Don Bosco Naga held a meaningful celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit, presided over by the new Rector, Fr. Caesar Dizon, SDB, on June 24, 2026. The Eucharistic celebration gathered the Lay Mission Partners and trainees in prayer, entrusting the academic year to God's loving guidance and providence.

A significant part of the celebration was the blessing of the Lay Mission Partners, during which the LaMPs were prayed over and commissioned for their mission of forming the minds and hearts of the young. The blessing sought God's grace to grant them wisdom, strength, patience, and spiritual inspiration as they carry out their vocation throughout the school year.

Following the Holy Mass was the blessing of the classrooms, symbolizing the dedication of every learning space to God. In a special act of faith and devotion, each section conducted the enthronement of Mary Help of Christians in its classroom. Through her intercession, the community prayed for a school year filled with faith, wisdom, unity, and a deeper commitment to living out the values of Don Bosco.

The celebration served as a reminder that education at Don Bosco Naga is rooted not only in technical excellence but also in spiritual formation.

Don Bosco Naga Holds First Parents’ Assembly for SY 2026–2027

Don Bosco Naga successfully conducted its First Parents’ Assembly for School Year 2026–2027 on June 20, gathering parents and guardians of newly enrolled trainees to strengthen collaboration between families and the training center in supporting the holistic formation of the youth.

The assembly opened with a prayer led by the new Rector of Don Bosco Naga, Fr. Caesar Dizon, SDB, who also warmly welcomed the parents and guardians.

The program continued with the introduction of the Salesian community and Lay Mission Partners by
Fr. Ramil Maranan, SDB, the new Technical Director of Don Bosco Naga. He also facilitated a formation session for parents, focusing on the vital role of parenting in the development and success of their children.

Parents were likewise oriented on important matters concerning the training center, including the training programs, scholarship information, the school calendar, as well as financial and accounting policies.

The assembly concluded with the signing of agreement forms among the training center, parents, and trainees, signifying their shared commitment to uphold the policies, values, and objectives of Don Bosco Naga throughout the training period.

Through this gathering, Don Bosco Naga reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong partnership with families in creating a nurturing environment where young people can grow in competence, character, and faith, guided by the Salesian spirit of St. John Bosco.

Don Bosco Naga Welcomes 228 Trainees in Orientation Program 2026

Don Bosco Naga successfully conducted its Orientation Program 2026 from June 15 to 17, 2026, welcoming 228 officially enrolled trainees who will begin their technical-vocational education journey this school year.

Various sessions were conducted to familiarize the trainees with the Center's pastoral programs, training offerings, rules and regulations, and expectations for academic and personal growth.

A significant part of the orientation focused on values formation, emphasizing the dignity of work, responsible citizenship, discipline, and character development. The trainees were also introduced to the life and teachings of Saint John Bosco, whose educational philosophy continues to guide the institution in forming young people to become competent workers, good Christians, and upright citizens.

Through the informative discussions, interactive activities, and moments of fellowship, the Training Center hopes that the orientation has inspired trainees to embrace the Bosconian spirit of excellence, discipline, faith, and service as they begin their journey at Don Bosco Naga.
