Professional Academy of the Philippines Senior High School Department Held Miting de Avance and SSG Elections.
Professional Academy of the Philippines, August 10, 2024 — The Professional Academy of the Philippines held an event this morning, the Miting de Avance, followed by the Supreme Student of the Government (SSG) elections. The Miting de Avance and the SSG election, started from 8 to 11 AM on the school grounds. This event provided students the chance to hear directly from the candidates running for SSG positions.
During the Miting de Avance, candidates for the SSG positions presented their platforms and answered questions from their fellow students and/or fellow candidates. The event was designed to help voters understand what each candidate plans to achieve when they are to be elected. The atmosphere was lively, with students actively engaging with the candidates to learn more about their proposals and leadership styles.
After the Miting de Avance, it was followed by the SSG elections. The voting took place in different locations to accommodate all students efficiently. The voting was held at the Senior High School Department Arthre Building where the Grade 11 students voted on the 3rd floor, while Grade 12 students accommodate the 2nd floor. This arrangement helped to ensure the smooth and organized voting process for the students to cast their votes without delay. In order to avoid any leaks and to exercise fairness, the department used an automated voting process.
As the morning progressed, students eagerly awaited the results of the elections. The Miting de Avance and subsequent voting not only highlighted the candidates’ qualifications but also showcased the students’ engagement in their school’s governance. The events emphasized the importance of student involvement and democratic participation.
