The SIPP Coordinator and faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department conducted an on-site monitoring visit to the departmentโ€™s OJT students to check on their progress, monitor their training experiences, and ensure that they are gaining meaningful hands-on learning in their respective workplaces.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the department to personally connect with and extend its appreciation to partner companies and government offices, including the Naga City Government, for their continued support in providing valuable training opportunities for the students.

Through the established Memorandum of Agreement with BISCAST, these partnerships continue to contribute to the studentsโ€™ professional development and preparation for the civil engineering profession.

The Civil Engineering Department extends its sincere gratitude to all its OJT partners for their continued support, guidance, and commitment to developing future civil engineers. ๐Ÿค

The BISCAST College of Engineering brings together emerging engineers as they present their research, defend their ideas, and engage in meaningful academic discourse in the College of Engineering Student Research Colloquium 2026, with the theme: โ€œBridging Theory and Practice: Advancing Student Engineering Research for Real-World Solutions.โ€

The event will commence with a webinar session in the morning, followed by the presentation and defense of selected thesis studies in the afternoon. From Mechanical to Electronics, Electrical, and Civil Engineering, selected research groups will showcase their studies in a formal academic setting designed to strengthen technical communication, refine research methodologies, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. This colloquium serves as a platform for intellectual exchange, constructive evaluation, and the advancement of student-led research.
