Teach Them Kindness

Teach your kids to be kind — not because the world always will be,
but because kindness is what makes the world softer.

Teach them to hold the door open.
To say “thank you.”
To stand up for the kid who’s being laughed at.
To notice when someone is left out — and invite them in.

Show them that kindness isn’t weakness.
It’s strength wrapped in gentleness.
It’s courage with a warm heart.
It’s choosing love even when it’s not returned.

The world will teach them to compete,
to compare,
to harden.
But you can teach them to care.

Kindness starts at home —
in how we speak to them,
in how we speak about others,
in what we model when no one’s watching.

Because one day, your child will walk into the world
carrying the lessons you taught in silence.
Let kindness be one of them.
