Sa paparating na 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐢𝐤𝐚-12 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, gaganapin ang 𝐏𝐀-𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐌: 𝐏𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐚, isang espesyal na programang inihahandong ng SC COMELEC para sa paparating na namang eleksiyon.

Ito ay naglalayong mabigyan ang mga estudyante ng kaalaman tungkol sa eleksiyon at kilalanin pang mabuti ang kanilang mga pipiliin upang maglingkod sa Pilipinas at sa kanya-kanya nilang mga lungsod at lalawigan.

Gaganapin ito sa pamamagitan ng isang 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐚 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐂 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂 𝐬𝐚 𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝟐:𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝟓:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌. Lahat ng parte ng komunidad ng Senior High School, lalo na ang mga boboto na sa paparating na eleksiyon, ay kinakailangang makiisa at sumali sa kaganapang ito.

Bawat boto ninyo ay mahalaga para sa pag-angat natin at ng ating mga kapuwa Pilipino. Iparinig ang inyong boses at piliin ang nararapat na mamuno sa ating bansa at sa inyong kanya-kanyang lungsod at lalawigan.

Para sa malinis at tamang pagboto, and edukasyon ay kailangan. 𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐀𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚!

HUMSS Faculty Outreach Program: Lighting Up Communities with Hope and Joy ✨

Last December 17, 2024, the HUMSS Faculty brought light and love to Sitio Maalsom, Mangayawan, Canaman, Camarines Sur through their outreach program themed "Lighting Up Communities with Hope and Joy."

In an inspiring act of Reverse Caroling, they shared 30 Noche Buena packages with selected indigent families and provided school supplies to young learners. Alongside these efforts, they conducted a community needs assessment survey to understand better and support the residents.

A heartfelt thank you to Angat Buhay for lending us life jackets as precautionary measures, ensuring everyone's safety during this meaningful activity.

Together, we are spreading the true spirit of Christmas—hope, joy, and community care.

🌈 HIRAS- PAGLAOM PROJECT: Spreading Hope and Solidarity in Abcede Elementary School 🌈

Last December 7, 2024, marked a truly heartwarming milestone for the Hiras-Paglaom Project as we successfully turned over personalized tote bags filled with school supplies to the pupils of Abcede Elementary School in Bagumbayan Sur, Naga City.

This initiative, born out of the shared hardships brought by the recent devastating floods, sought to extend hope, empathy, and resilience to the 792 young learners of the school.

Thanks to the unwavering generosity of Vincent Helps, Adamson University- Integrated Community Extension Service, Vincentian Missionaries Social Development Foundation, Inc., and the Baha Series by Sir Aldrin Camacho, the project was able to bridge the gap and ensure that no child was left behind.

Each bag—filled with notebooks, pencils, crayons, erasers, and more—symbolized not only the tangible support but also the love and compassion of the students taking up JECS subjects under the HUMSS strand of the Ateneo de Naga Senior High School, who, despite their own challenges, came together to make this project possible.

The smiles and gratitude of the children reminded us all of the power of community and the importance of hope in rebuilding lives. This moment stands as a testament to what we can achieve when we unite for a common cause.

To our partners, students, and everyone who contributed to this endeavor, thank you for being the light during these trying times. Let us continue to share hope and foster solidarity in our communities.

Serving the Community, One Research at a Time 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🏡

LOOK: The Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS & HUMSS-SJ) strand successfully conducted its data collection as the pioneering batch of community-based research studies at Ateneo de Naga University Senior High School last November 29, 2024. This initiative, not only allows students to apply their classroom learning in real-world contexts, but also provides valuable insights that can help improve the services and preparedness of these communities.

Embodying the Ignatian core values, the students set forth on a journey to assess the needs of local communities as their topic of interest in their research studies, gathering early in the Belardo grounds as they carefully prepared their data collection materials for their respective partner barangays in Canaman: HU2A in Barangay Sua, Camaligan, HU2B in Barangay San Jose East, Canaman, and HU2C in Barangay Mangayawan, Canaman.

Diverting from the usual laboratory experiments and student respondents, the dedicated HUMSS researchers, guided by their teacher companions, fully immersed themselves in the community-based data-gathering process, exploring a broad range of research on the community's services, disaster preparedness, and waste management. They diligently administered the survey questionnaires and conducted focus group discussions with their respondents, acquiring valuable insights from various perspectives ranging from barangay residents to officials.

Each class prepared a program for their barangay wherein the host briefly explained the flow of the data-gathering process, ensuring that the respondents agreed to participate in the study. Representatives from each group then distributed the informed consent forms to the residents and officials which outlined the confidentiality and privacy of their responses. Food and tokens of appreciation were thoughtfully given to the respondents after the data collection process, wrapping up the day with a heartfelt appreciation extended to the barangay officials.

Nobyembre ginugunita natin ang isang mahalagang bahagi ng ating kasaysayan—ang Araw ni Andres Bonifacio. Binibigyang-pugay natin ang kabayanihan ni Andres Bonifacio, ang "Ama ng Rebolusyong Pilipino," na nagsilbing simbolo ng tapang na naghahangad ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas sa mga mananakop.

Siya’y nag-iwan ng hindi matatawarang pamana para sa ating lahat. Bilang isa sa mga nagtatag ng Kataastaasan, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan o K*K, pinangunahan niya ang laban para sa kalayaan mula sa pananakop ng mga dayuhan. Sa kabila ng hirap ng kaniyang buhay at limitadong pormal na edukasyon, ipinakita ni Bonifacio na hindi hadlang ang anumang hamon upang ipaglaban ang tama at makatarungan. Ang kanyang paninindigan sa prinsipyo at pagmamahal sa bayan ang nagbigay-daan sa atin upang maabot ang kasarinlan na tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Ngayon, higit pa sa pag-alala kay Bonifacio, tayo’y hinahamon na tularan ang kanyang diwa. Kaya’t sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang mas makatarungan, mas maayos, at mas nagkakaisang Pilipinas.

Red Wednesday is an annual celebration by the Church to commemorate, give importance, and pay respect to those Christians and believers of Christ who are punished, abused, and persecuted over a period of time. Up to this era, there is still an existence of an act of violence and discrimination of individuals to those who believe in Jesus in a non-believer country. 💗

The essence of “𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲” is to enlighten the path for those who are in despair and to those Christians who are in need and lead them all to eternal life. As an Atenean, we are called to embrace these callings of the unheard and hear their voices, for us to reflect and unite them all with Christ as a part of our mission as Christians.✨ We must unite ourselves in solidarity to stand out against this violence and be a shining light to them as we commemorate this year’s Red Wednesday 2024, with a theme: “𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣".🌟
