Advancing Anticipatory Action Through Unified Coordination.

Today, RED-TAG, Inc. participated in a technical planning session with the Bicol Disaster Risk Reduction Management Hub, the Naga College Foundation and the Coalition for Bicol Development (CBD) to refine the concept for an Anticipatory Action Project, which will be presented during the upcoming regional meeting of the Bicol DRRM Hub.

As a volunteer-driven organization with experience in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and capacity development, RED-TAG is committed to contributing technical expertise in strengthening coordination mechanisms that support anticipatory action. We believe that acting early requires more than timely forecasts—it requires an organized system that transforms risk information into coordinated decisions and operational actions.

One of RED-TAG's key contributions is promoting the integration of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the Incident Command System (ICS) as the foundation of an effective coordination mechanism. The EOC serves as the hub for information management, coordination, and resource prioritization, while the ICS provides a standardized framework for command, control, and field operations. Together, they enable government agencies, civil society organizations, volunteers, and communities to work under a common operational structure before hazards escalate into emergencies.

Through partnerships, volunteer engagement, and technical support, RED-TAG remains committed to helping strengthen local capacities and promoting practical, coordinated, and anticipatory approaches to disaster risk reduction and management.

We look forward to contributing to the regional dialogue and working alongside our partners toward a more prepared and resilient Bicol.

Resilience is never built alone—it is built together.

Disaster resilience is not measured by the strength of one individual, but by the collective commitment of an entire community. Every volunteer, every family, every organization, and every partner plays a vital role in creating safer and more prepared communities.

At RED-TAG (Response for Emergency and Disaster Technical Assistance Group), we believe that resilience is a shared responsibility. Through volunteerism, collaboration, capacity building, and community participation, we empower people to become active partners in disaster risk reduction rather than passive recipients of assistance.

Because when communities work together, share knowledge, and support one another, resilience becomes stronger, faster, and more sustainable.

The more people involved, the stronger the community. Together, we build resilience that lasts.
