DepEd releases the Budget of Work (BoW) for learning competencies aligned with the three-term school calendar. The BoW is intended as a guiding reference in lesson planning, while teachers are allowed flexibility to manage instructional pacing in accordance with learners' needs and contextual realities.

The PEAC National Secretariat, led by Executive Director Rhodora Angela Fernandez-Ferrer, had a meeting with Congressman Roman T. Romulo, Chairperson of the House Committee on Basic Education, on April 14, 2026, to discuss House Bill No. 4744, or the Private Basic Education Vouchers Assistance Act, which seeks to provide mechanisms to improve the quality of basic education and promote the complementary roles of public and private schools.
Attendees from the PEAC National Secretariat included Rodrick Malonzo, Head of the Monitoring and Processing Unit, and Denise Adriano, Head of the Communications and Research Unit, together with Atty. Marie Cherylle Z. Hular, partner at Salvador Llanillo & Mijares (SLM) and SLM lawyers.

The PEAC invites administrators and teachers from private schools to apply for assistance under the Research for School Improvement Towards Excellence (RSITE) Program. The RSITE Program provides financial support amounting to P40,000 and P80,000 for the writing of the Master’s thesis and PhD dissertation, respectively. Read more: https://peac.org.ph/rsite/
