Official Announcement:

Due to the past suspension of classes, the Trash to Trend Fashion Show supposedly scheduled for October 2, 2025 will be moved with October 10, 2025 as the earliest possible date (not yet confirmed since it still needs coordination with the department assigned for the month).

This is also to give the students reasonable time to accomplish the making of costumes and prepare better for the competition.

Rest assured that the fashion show together with the culminating activity will take place this month.

Are you all ready for the highly anticipated science event this year?

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) proudly brings you: The CaraHigh Trash to Trend 2025! 🌿👗✨

GUIDELINES:

• Each section must have 2 representatives: one showcasing a male outfit and one showcasing a female outfit.

• LGBTQIA+ students are welcome to participate and represent their section, provided that each section still presents only one male outfit and one female outfit.

• This year’s theme will be: Earth Warriors (Armor or warrior-inspired looks using tin cans, bottle tops, and rubbers, etc., symbolizing protection of the planet.)

• Outfits must be strictly made by the section (no handlers and renting costumes allowed).

• Winners shall receive certificates and sash: Grand Winner, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up for respective categories.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

a. Originality and Creativity (30%) - Uniqueness of concept, innovative use of recyclable materials, and overall artistic impression.

b. Craftmanship and Resourcefulness (20%) - Quality of construction, neatness, durability, and effective use of recyclables.

c. Relevance to the Theme (20%) - How well the outfit reflects environmental sustainability and embodies the chosen theme.

d. Presentation and Confidence (20%) - How well the model carries the outfit, stage presence, and audience engagement.

e. Visual Impact (10%) - Overall appeal, attractiveness, and how eye-catching the design is on stage.

This event is more than just a competition - it recognizes students' efforts to recycle materials while also demonstrating skills, talent, and environmental awareness. Contestants will show off not only their charm but also their dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

This is where glamor meets advocacy, proving that true beauty shines brightest when standing for a cause! 🏆

Clean-Up Drive Success! 🌿

The YES-O officers teamed up with the Batang Scientists in a clean-up drive as part of the Science Month celebration. This meaningful collaboration brought together young leaders united by a shared mission: to take action for the environment.

The activity promoted environmental awareness, scientific responsibility, and the importance of community involvement. Small efforts, big impact — proving that real change starts with us. 🫶🌍
