𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝟯𝟵 𝗕𝗚𝗦𝗖 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀!

After a year of collecting fees, disseminating information and reminders, and serving our fellow GradASTeans, we can finally say that we are now officially ASTean graduates!

Thank you for your service, dedication, and commitment throughout the year. Your efforts, whether seen or unseen, helped make the BISCAST- Graduating Student Council and GradASTean community stronger.

As we close this chapter, may we carry with us the lessons learned, the friendships built, and the memories we shared. Our journey was not always easy, and our term was far from perfect, but every challenge we faced helped us grow into better leaders and individuals.

Despite the obstacles and setbacks, we stood together and fulfilled our responsibilities as ASTean student leaders.

May this not be the end, but the beginning of greater opportunities ahead. Continue to lead, continue to serve, and continue to grow.

𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗦 𝗨𝗣, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀!

The Student Development and Services recently released the list of academic and non-academic awardees for recognition for Academic Year 2025–2026. With this, there will be a Recognition Practice on May 24, 2026 (Sunday), from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the BISCAST Student Pavilion.

This rehearsal aims to ensure the orderly flow of the program, proper coordination among participants, and familiarization of awardees, ushers, marshals, and committee members with the sequence of activities to help make the Recognition Day more organized and meaningful.

All candidates for recognition, faculty members, program coordinators, and members of the working committee are hereby invited to attend.

Distribution Schedule:
• May 21, 2026 — CA+D, CoSci, and CTT
• May 22, 2026 — CBE, COE, and CEng

Please note that due to limited Google Drive storage, internet connection limitations, and other unforeseen circumstances, only the portrait photos will be distributed for now. Creative shots will be sent after the portrait distribution is completed.

If you have already received the Google Drive ownership transfer, all access permissions granted to bgscorg.biscast.edu.ph must be removed immediately. Uploading of your creative shots will proceed once the BGSC access has been fully removed.

The BISCAST Graduating Student Council acknowledges the sentiments and concerns circulating online among members of the graduating class regarding recent Council initiatives and decisions.

In response, the BGSC issues this official statement to provide clarification and proper guidance on the matters raised.

Students are strongly encouraged to read the full statement for a clear and complete understanding of the issues discussed. This is to ensure that accurate information is obtained directly from official sources and that any concerns or misunderstandings are addressed within the proper context of the Council’s explanation.

We encourage all GradASTeans to raise any concerns through the appropriate official channels—either by messaging the BGSC page, sending an email to the Council, or coordinating with their designated BGSC Class Representatives.

Under the leadership of SUC President II, Prof. Charlie P. Nacario, PhD, BISCAST issues this statement in response to circulating information regarding the venue of the forthcoming 𝟱𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀.

𝟭. 𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲
The Administration acknowledges the concerns raised and affirms the importance of the Graduation Ceremony to the graduating students and their families.

The Fuerte CamSur Sports Complex was identified as Option B in the initial Activity Proposal, subject to final review and approval. The BISCAST LRV Student Pavilion remains the primary and preferred venue. The alternative venue was considered only as a precaution due to the current heat index and in consideration of public health and safety.

Based on the survey conducted by the BISCAST Graduating Student Council (BGSC), where 94.6% (730 students) preferred the LRV Student Pavilion, the Administration affirms that this serves as the principal basis for the decision. Accordingly, Option B does not take precedence.

𝟮. 𝗢𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
The Administration clarifies that previous claims regarding the final venue are speculative and without official basis. No formal directive had been issued by the Office of the President. The Graduation Committees will still convene to finalize all arrangements.

𝟯. 𝗢𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴
BISCAST upholds transparency, inclusivity, and consultative governance, engaging students, faculty, and officials in decision-making.

Subject to final confirmation, the Graduation Ceremony is scheduled on May 28–29, 2026, and is intended to be held at the BISCAST LRV Student Pavilion.

All stakeholders are advised to rely only on official announcements issued through authorized College platforms.

In view of the ongoing fuel and energy crisis and its impact on families, particularly parents and students, the BISCAST Administration is temporarily suspending the collection of academic garb rentals effective immediately.

We recognize that the rising costs of fuel, energy, and basic commodities have imposed additional burdens not only on our students and their families but on the entire BISCAST community.

In light of this situation, and as a gesture of empathy and support to our graduating students, this measure aims to help ease financial pressure and provide flexibility during these challenging times.

Everyone is encouraged to support the present leadership in implementing cost-cutting and austerity measures.

All Vice Presidents and concerned Unit Heads are hereby directed to monitor the implementation of this issuance.
