Ang Pambansang Komisyon para sa Kultura at mga Sining ay nakikiisa sa paggunita sa Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani o National Heroes Day na ipinagdiriwang tuwing huling Lunes ng Agosto alinsunod sa Batas Republika Blg. 9492 (s. 2007).
Ang pagdiriwang ngayong araw ay may temang "Heroism of Each Filipino, Key to Victory and Humanity" bilang pagkilala sa angking kabayanihan ng bawat Filipino, hindi lamang ng mga kilala o nababantog na bayani, kundi higit at lalo pa sa mga bayaning Filipino ng bagong panahon.
