ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS
October 22, 2024

The PAGASA, in its Weather Advisory No. 4 issued at 5:00 PM, forecasts over 200 mm of accumulated rainfall (intense to torrential rains) tomorrow, 22 October 2024, over the Province of Camarines Sur due to Tropical Cyclone
"KRISTINE."

Given the likelihood of flooding and rain-induced landslides, especially in highly susceptible areas as identified in hazard maps, and following the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, classes at all schools in Naga City, whether face-to-face or asynchronous, are hereby suspended tomorrow, 22 October 2024.

All Punong Barangays and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (BDRRMCs) are directed to implement the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their constituents.

Educational institutions are also advised to immediately inform their students and staff of the suspension.

For compliance.

ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES - SEPTEMBER 17, 2024 📣

In view of PAGASA's Weather Advisory, Naga City is forecasted to experience heavy rainfall tomorrow due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), with an expected accumulation of 50 to 100 mm of rainfall.

On the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), I am ordering the suspension of face-to-face classes in all schools within Naga City and instructing a shift to asynchronous classes or distance learning for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Please ensure that all students, parents, and staff are informed of this directive, and take necessary precautions to proritize safety. Due to the potential for flooding in low-lying areas, immediate action should be taken to relocate school materials and equipment to higher ground.
Stay informed through official channels and adhere to the advisories from
CDRRMC and PAGASA.

Further updates will be disseminated via the city's official social media platforms and accounts.

For strict compliance
