Kaugnay ng napabalitang natagpuang labi sa BISCAST, nananawagan ang mga ASTeano, kasama ang The Collegian, ng schoolwide day of mourning bukas, ika-18 ng Mayo, bilang taos pusong pag-alala ng komunidad sa isang buhay na nawala sa loob ng kampus.

Habang patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng administrasyon sa imbestigasyon, may mga panawagan din na bigyan ng kaukulang pansin ang kalagayang mental ng mga estudyante.
