As April comes to a close, let’s take a look back at the triumphs, talents, and tenacity that defined the Social Arts Festival 2026: The Greyhounds Gambit: A Festival of Arts and Valor on April 15, 2026.

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗡𝗖 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆

In light of the recently concluded Social Arts Festival, the Social Arts Council would like to address a concern raised regarding a portion of an entry in the 30-Second Reel-Making Contest.

We acknowledge that a segment of the reel may have been perceived as insensitive in terms of gender representation. We take this concern seriously and recognize the importance of creating a space where all forms of identity and expression are treated with respect and dignity.

In response, we have taken down the post while we continue to review the matter and coordinate with the concerned parties. We sincerely apologize for any discomfort or harm this may have caused.

As a student organization, we take full accountability and are committed to learning from this experience. Moving forward, we will strengthen our guidelines and reinforce greater awareness and sensitivity in the content we promote.

We are grateful to those who brought this to our attention and for the opportunity to reflect and improve. The Social Arts Council remains dedicated to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and safe community for all.
